Rangers played last night. they will play tonight and tomorrow too. they have games three days in row. Not even NHL has this type of schedule. This can't be usual in a junior league?
For the eastern ontario teams and northern ontario teams this is very very common it all comes down to travel and time.Aslo don't forget teams don't fly they bus to every road game so its not like the nhl its alot harder in terms of travel.
This will happen in all the junior leagues. The schedules need to be weighted towards the weekends because of travel issues and school schedules so this will need to happen on occasion. And if that shocks you, you should look at some of the tournaments these kids will play in through minor hockey and junior. For example at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, the teams play 7 games in 8 days.
If they're going to play as many games as they do there's no way around it. I remember a few years ago, my buddy who was playing with Mississauga had a three in three weekend in Sudbury, Ottawa and back in Mississauga, with the Ottawa game being an early start. Kinda ridiculous to have kids to do that if you ask me, and the scheduling is very suspect, but all necessary evils I guess.
