Whats Wrong with Connor Mcdavid this Season Lowest PPG and Gpg Output in 7 8 Years for Him

I think McDavid is suffering from acute depression.... probably due to more than one reason.
One reason that immediately comes to mind is having to live for months in that sterile, cold black and white house that his wife decorated. Frankly I've seen monasteries that have more warmth and comfort.
Monasteries are often stunningly beautiful. I agree his house is straight up depressing.

Can you please tell me who would be an idea first round opponent and what we have to win to get them?

You don't think playing a WC team and/or having home ice aren't worth trying for? It looks like whatever team comes out of the Western Conference will have survived a blood bath. Having to play a relatively easy 1st round would be a big benefit for a team that isn't necessarily positioned like TB and Florida have been in recent years where just making the playoffs was good enough and it didn't really matter who they played.

Game 7 of the SCF. As close as you can come without actually winning.

He got them to Game 6. So did Crosby in 2008. Then Crosby won the Cup the next year.

Interesting how McDavid is getting a pass this season so far because he's played a lot of hockey. Crosby would have won the Art Ross in 09/10 if not for a needing a 1/4 season to shake off the Cup hangover.

You're really grasping at straws with this one

I don't know if I'd call it that, but he's not exactly wrong. Mid-November 2009 was the first time Crosby kind of game up and was no longer going 100% every game. Part of that I think was due to Bylsma being outcoached and Crosby feeling like it wasn't worth the effort, but also was due to him winning the cup and realizing the regular season isn't that important.

Crosby sat the majority of Game 7 and was fortunate that his teammates sealed the deal and didn't leave him Cupless until his 11th season.

As for the bolded, he played four seasons and had just turned 22 years old heading into the 2009-2010 season. Give me a break on this take.

McDavid is having a career worst regular season and he's still finishing no lower than fourth in points and PPG. When a guy is clearly not at his best and slumping, yet still scoring 18 points on a current 12 game point streak, that says it all.
