Well, they currently are tied for the worst odds to win the cup (with Chicago, San Jose, and Philadelphia). So, not very likely.

There probably are betting odds for such things available. I'm not savvy enough to find them...

Reminds me of 2012-13...

Super low fan & pundit expectations, heavily biased by an injury-ravaged previous year & underestimating the talent in the room.

If we are top-tier in health this season, we'll be in playoff picture until the end, getting in comfortably if Monty takes the 1A spot & runs with it.

No, back in that period the Atlantic was a very weak division. It's not a good analogy.

I’d hate ending up in no man’s land.
No worries mate we can work our way to the cusp of making the playoffs and then just fold like cheap tents similar to Washington Detroit and Buffalo...

But of course we know that wouldn't happen. Teams would clear the way for us like they did for Florida only we would falter on the second to last game of the season.

Why do I do this to myself. :help:

They in tough division. Tampa, Toronto strong teams. Boston may miss playoffs, fringe team. Florida may struggle coming off deep drive for cup. Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo are better also. I put our odds at 20,%

And last year people were just as confident the Bruins were a bubble team...

The Atlantic of 23-24 isn't last year's Atlantic... That kind of thinking is exactly what I'm talking about, thanks for proving the analogy spot on
