What would the NHL equivalent of the Luka Dončić trade be?

Millers is a non top 20 player in the league

AD is a top 10ish player and not top 10ish bigman

Millrt didnt do enough in the playoffs last year and thats on him.

AD made the 2020 lakers an elite championship team. Look at his reg season stats + first three series stats that final run and he was as good or better than Lebron until the finals

AD is comparable to Rantanen in the NHL
You're missing the point. The Canucks weren't a great team and basketball players have a greater individual impact on the game than hockey players. If Miller got to play behind a generational talent like AD did, Miller would have rings too

McDavid for Barkov and 2029 1st.
That's an insult to Barkov

Draisaitl is the easy Doncic comp, I think Davis (long-time top 10 two way monster, now on the wrong side of 30 and with a lot of miles on the legs) is harder to find.

Pietrangelo or Hedman of like 3 years ago?

NBA is tanking so the best player gets dealt to LA in a lopsided deal.

Rooiiiight

A single player in basketball can have a far greater impact on the game than a single player in hockey...most of the time.

The sports just aren't comparable.

Doncic hasn't won.

I'd say Leon Draisitl for Mark Stone.
If mark stone was a consistent 90ish point player this right here is the answer

draisaitl is the offensive dynamo who is not that great defensively (I know this year isn the case but in general) and despite that he’s a top 5 player

Stone is the cerebral two way player, worse and older on offence but a really good defender.

It's like if McDavid looked like Dustin Byfuglien, and Holland turned around after last season's playoffs and traded him for Malkin, with the explanation that McDavid was a fat piece of shit who couldn't play defense.
