What would the NHL equivalent of the Luka Dončić trade be?

Seeing a lot of Matthews in here but Doncic has seen past the 2nd round. It'd be more like Draisaitl getting traded since he made the finals as part of an elite offensive duo the previous year and is arguably a top 3-4 player in the world (like Doncic is). It's crazy that it happened.

I wonder how it will work with 2 ball dominant players with similar games with Bron and Luka but that's definitely not an on topic convo here.

No one knows for sure, but possibly worried about his conditioning and they aren't sure they wanted to commit a 350 million dollar supermax contract to him.

Otherwise it makes little sense from a Dallas perspective. Perhaps a little like when Boston traded Joe Thornton for a bag of peanuts although Joe was underwhelming when he was moved.

Dallas should have gotten more though .Let the entire league know you want to trade him.Reminds me of Joe Thornton trade with Sharks.

Davis is a superstar on his own right. Feel like this is a lot like Weber for Subban except the players are much better on both sides.
