We need a 1C or at least a star winger, and then we can shift around some pieces, likely Chytil playing as the 2C behind Zibanejad. We don't have anyone in the system that can fill that hole. Maybe the team can draft a star player in the upcoming season or two. We also need another top 9 player for the Howden and Andersson line. We have a few players in the system who could fill that role, like Pajuniemi, Hughes, maybe Barron moves up, and someone else can be the 4C.

We also have a lot of similar caliber defensemen. We probably don't have any better than a 3D on the team or in the system, so its mostly take your pick right now between Miller, Lundkvist, Rykov, Reunanen, Hajek, Lindgren, Keane to go along with Pionk, DeAngelo and Skjei. And then we have a few lower caliber defensemen like Crawley, Gross, Sjalin, Ragnarsson who might be able to eventually carve out an NHL role. Most likely, these defensemen can fill up our defense, except for the top pairing. We don't have any of those types of players, but its unlikely we'll have two top pairing defensemen in three years. We should try to draft at least one of these players in the next two drafts.
