What were you dead wrong about with this team?

I had all the same thoughts plus how would they respond in the playoffs!
I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised with how they have played so far in these playoffs! There's always room for improvement!
Another thing that I've noticed has been the maturity from Matty, Marner, Kines, Wee Willy they have been a treat so far in this year's playoffs to watch!
GO LEAFS GO
You need a coach to teach the the right way to play and a GM that understands there are 2 seasons in hockey.
We finally have a big team that sticks together

Our previous coach and GM didn't realize that

Probably Jarnkrok.

I came at Benoit back in Feb/March, but I reneged. He had a bad few weeks there, but climbed out of it.

Pretty much anyone that plays well for TOR I will stand behind.

The last Leaf that I truly hated was Tomas Plekanec. He can still go piss up a tree as far as I'm concerned.

People are saying this team feels different, and I agree. I can raise my hand and say I was 100% wrong about a few things and am glad I was not put in charge of decision making.

1. Willy. I hated how he handled his contract situation and how soft I felt he played. I could probably have been called a Willy "hater" in fairness. Don't feel like that anymore. He's worth the money he fought for.

2. Domi. Wanted him gone after last year, and he's been fantastic this year, what a playoff asset.

3. Pac. Had no idea why he was on this team or why he was put back in the lineup after being out so long. I don't recognize him at all, he's transformed into some sort of beast out there.
I said this earlier but Patches looks like he’s in mid season form. If you watch the goal by Nylander that he assisted on he has a speed burst and I’m like whoa where did that come from. He looks explosive, he looks rested, healthy. Fantastic performance by him. He probably doesn’t have a lot of time left in his career but if he can finish this thing off with us the way he’s playing, he’ll be a legend forever

ive been critical of the top guys, that still remains an issue for me besides nylander. difference for me this year has been the play of the "depth" players, which has been a huge issue for us in years past to get the big win.

until marner and matthews play up to their capablilities and show some killer instinct i wont change my opinion much.
imagine if marner didnt score that random-ass prayer of a goal last game lol, would anybody be able to say much positive about his playoff performance overall this year?

but ye, short story long..the depth has been alot better than i expected.
