Coyle and Carlo are the guys who should be wearing an A.

I like David and Charlie a lot, but they are not leaders in the truest sense.

As noted by some in the media, this roster also has little in the way of veteran leadership. Veterans who have been around that command respect.

You can't put it all on Brad's shoulders, especially in a season when nearly everything that can go wrong has, in spades.

Get off Marchy's back.

The blame in this instance, like most of what ailes this "team," belongs at SweeNeely's feet.
Wrong about Pasta being a leader. He is

As an outsider, this regression was expected. It was now or never in 2022/23 and sadly it didn´t work out. The only question is do you go for a full rebuild and write off next few seasons?
0.0 they are doing a full rebuild

They could do a retool and still be a top 4 team next season

We agreed to disagree.

As noted previously, David is great in the room as far as I know, and leads through his playmaking and production.

He is not one for speechifying or taking others to task.

There's nothing wrong with that.

I'm just saying he's not Zdeno or Patrice.

He's David, and that's fine.

I don't think a player (or agent) should need to apologize for trying to get the best deal possible.

The problem is right now Sweeney is in no position to make any moves. Not exactly brimming with assets at the moment.
I don't care what position he is in.He has to trade the UFAs if not signed.Anything is better then nothing.Don't want people giving me this crap about it's like a deadline trade either.

So did Detroit!
NHL is a big boys club.Heck all major sports are .They all regurgitatate coaches. Team A fires coach, then team B hires him.Meanwhile team A hires a coach team C fired.Job for life if you don't break any absolutes .Somebody will hire you eventually doing something.

We were talking about significant trades, not UFA trades for whatever they can get.
Yea thats fine sorry, but my post still stands far as ufas go 😆

True.

I am all for hiring experienced AHL coaches. I am less enthusiastic about bringing in the latest flavor of the month from the college ranks.

Whoever coaches the Bruins going forward should have a strong resume with an emphasis on defense first.

I'm always amazed at guys like McLennan and Boudreau who have won absolutely nothing and have coached 4 teams.

agreed, if done right, my confidence the blokes running the show can do this though....not sky high
Since they took over a team that missed the playoffs they gave the most points since 2015-2016

Did something right

I'm honestly shocked someone thinks that.

I don't know what the dynamics are in the room (obviously), but these two seem like the most indifferent personalities on the roster.... They are #1 and #2 on my trade list for that reason. They are fine players when the machine is running and everything going smooth. When it's not.... they both kind of just accept it.

What is it that shocks you?

Thst #13 and #25 step up as leaders on a team bereft of them?

That David and Charlie are not especially great leaders?

Or that Brad deserves to have shit shoveled his way because the team he is charged with leading isn't much of a "team" at all?

Please explain.

This team has no depth, can’t see how you can put that on anyone but the GM

That anyone thinks Charlie Coyle or Brandon Carlo show any signs of leadership abilities....

Neither player appears to be vocal on the ice. Two of the most inconsistent and enigmatic players on the roster. Probably the last two guys you would expect to stand up for themselves and/or teammates. Also both having career worst years.

They both just kind of go about their business and seem content to be that way.

At least they're there to answer the questions at the end of the night.

Consistently.
