4 Ever The Greatest
from deadline.com:
FX‘s What We Do in the Shadows will end with its sixth season, Deadline has confirmed.
Based on the 2014 feature film of the same name by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, What We Do In The Shadows documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén).
FX renewed the comedy for seasons 5 and 6 in 2022. The former premiered on July 13 and concluded on August 31.
Ratings-wise, the Season 5 premiere was down 35% in total viewers on FX with an audience of about 326k tuning in on the linear channel. The season struggled to maintain that audience, averaging only around 275k viewers per episode. That’s down from an average of 356k per episode for Season 4. This data is very limited though, considering it doesn’t account for any viewership on Hulu, which likely attracts a majority of the show’s audience. It’s unclear if the series made up for the linear audience it lost on streaming.
In its first two seasons, What We Do in the Shadows earned 10 Emmy Award nominations, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. Season 3 is currently eligible for Emmy consideration and recently earned three Critics Choice Award nominations, including one for Best Comedy Series.
Most recently, the series received four additional Emmy nods including Outstanding Production Design, Outstanding Picture Editing For A Single-Cam Comedy Series, Outstanding Editing and Outstanding Costumes.
