Like I said, the league has got soft. Ive seen a cup you haven’t. It is what it is. When someone forces you into the crease, you shouldn’t have to try and get out of the situation immediately. But leafs don’t go near the crease so I get the confusion.

I have seen many cups.

close to 40 cups i have seen been won.

Now please read the NHL Rule Book and if you need help
I can certainly do that for you.

I am glad that new fans are passionate about hockey.

Now go back to bed because 10 year old shouldn't stay past their bed time.

Unless your mommy okayed it.

1. incorrect
2. incorrect
Man 60 years of no cup got you being delusional all for a eastern conference regular season title

Never a leafs one though!

This is goaltender interference:

Goaltender interference refers to any attacking player who, by means of their stick or body, interferes with or impedes the movements of the goaltender by actual physical contact. While incidental contact with the goaltender may occur, attacking players must make an effort to avoid contact in all circumstances.

Also that is 100% interference, the player made ZERO attempt to leave the crease and impeded the goalie from getting over to the puck.
This. They have called it consistently all year. At this point it’s up to the players to adjust.

Goalie interference occurs when you interfere with the goalie. You didn't know?
Damn all the insecure Toronto fans found the thread. Feeling good in the regular season huh?

Listen kid.

Go bug a friend.

you clearly don't know much about hockey

just go read the nhl rule book to educate yourself on the rules
1 round again gonna hurt. If it was Toronto you’d be whining but it’s ok. I’ll laugh when the excuses in round 1 come again.

I dislike the Leafs as much as the next guy, but you posted about GI and it was not. Disagree with us and move on.
Care to offer an explanation? If this was any other team I’d still have my jaw open. Player didn’t initiate contact and there is NO contact.

Asked a question, l answered it. l know it's difficult, but try to pay attention.
It’s more you can’t do it rationally. You have to try and one up the Panthers since they’ve absolutely trampled you the last 2 seasons.

Seems pretty cut and dry. Rodrigues made no effort to leave the crease and clearly hit Daccord’s stick before the goal was scored.

I swear like 99% of the “I dOnT uDeRsTaNd GoAlIe InTeRfErEnCe” conversation is just homers who don’t want to see it.

Yeah Rodrigues should barrel through Mahura to leave or just completely stop screening the goalie and go to open ice because can’t be anywhere near him even though he was forced in the crease. Amazing league if that’s how soft we’ve become.

Ironic that you’re complaining about a soft league but seem to think that Rodrigues is entitled to a free pass to the front of the net.

Rodrigues got pushed out of his spot. He’s free to try to do something about that. Or he can just stand around in the crease and take a GI call.

Yes he was pushed, but he stayed on his own and interfered with the goalie. Textbook GI.
He didn’t even touch the goalie lmao

Yeah but Leafs fans know about soft.

Pretty clear goalie interference there. Am I missing something?

I see Rodriguez slash downward with his stick onto Daccord's stick, which impedes him from moving his blocker/right arm freely. Pretty straight forward call as far as I can tell.

Nobody knows what GI is, or rather how it will be interpreted by any given ref or Toronto. I just say SPIN THE WHEEL OF GOALIE INTERFERENCE every time there's a GI review

Saying they have called it consistently is blatantly false....Sabres literally had a goal called back and had one stand against them after a flipping Jet got UPL right in the glove it's just bs.

That's where I land with it. He was pushed in the crease but makes no effort to get out of it and is impeding the goaltender's ability to establish position while in the blue paint.

When you're in the blue paint it takes a lot less to constitute GI because that's the goalie's real estate.

Just go look at the highlights of the Sabres Jets game you guys literally live in a different world if you think GI is called consistently.
right I’m gonna watch a ten minute video of a random sabres game because you can’t be bothered to post a clip to support your argument

Im not ever on Twitter or other sites to know how to find them fast saying GI is called consistently is one of the wildest things I've heard on this site when it's completely random whether they call it or not just like regular interference.
