What Team Has the Top Future D Corp

Calling the prospect pool weak is just stupid. Obviously it’s possible prospects don’t pan out but that’s obviously just you trying to get a rise out of people (hence trolling). Like you are obviously not randomly out here scouting all these players objectively and forming a smart and informed basis to determine every pick was incorrect and project low end outcomes for every single prospect. Five years? Who the heck knows. Would depend obviously first on prospects and then how the currently clean cap is allocated. If you “can’t see it” then you lack deeper thinking to imagine possibilities.
Definition of prospect pool : drafted players who aren't on the team. I only see Boisvert. The others are already on the team.

I don't see any argument here. Just a smear of denigration.

It's been seven straight seasons since Chicago was ranked outside the top 16 in the regular season, and the team has never been as weak as it is now. Five years goes by very quickly.

The structure of Chicago's reconstruction will likely have been born between 2004 and 2010. So there will be no playoff until the next decade.

Well you’re already being dumb right off the bat. Guys who played three games in the nhl are still “prospects” by any definition that isn’t stupid. I can tell right from the bat you’re just shooting from the hip and not even attempting to engage in a thoughtful analysis and just making bold hot takes to get a rise.

Yeah more attempts to get a rise. Last made playoffs in 2020 when they beat oilers in play-in round. Made mistakes being aggressive as has been stated and then blew it up midway through the 2021-22 season (when they didn’t have their own first round pick). I suppose you think you’re being subtle here but yeah, you’re trolling so may as well own it my man.

So, it's the multiple podcasts I listen to that are stupid then because they all systematically remove players who reached the NHL from the prospect pool. Otherwise, always the same. Another demeaning message with no idea outside of this writing perspective.

Saying that others are stupid and ignorant doesn't help.

Every reasonable prospect definition has some GP threshold. Kids who burn after their ncaa season are universally called prospects. You’re now engaging in silly semantic debates to make your original statement seem less dumb.

I thought I said 7 seasons in a row outside the top 16 of the regular season. Chicago was not in the top 16 during the Covid year. 7th in its division that year.

Apart from the systematic denigration, you deliberately do not understand the meaning of the sentences.

I've always had this definition, and it's always the one I've heard. I've never heard of a definition related to age or game limits. And even so, Chicago's recent drafts have been very disappointing.

Levshunov at 2, Korchinski at 7, the accumulation of small players like Moore and Nazar next to Bedard, the choice of Gajan - it's not great on this day.

Stupid is as stupid does. 20 year olds that have played like 10 nhl games are bad nhl players and also not prospects because they’re playing nhl games. Hence hawks have no good nhl players and no good prospects. Thats how you’re justifying your stupid claim, which is either trolling or you just ain’t very bright as that leaves a canyon sized gap. Maybe you listen to podcasts hosted by idiots. I dunno what you do with your life. Gajan? One pick out of about a thousand.

This is the definition I hear everywhere and podcasts have former NHL players as participants. I'll leave it at that one.

I still haven't received your arguments convincing me that Chicago is in a position to make the playoffs in the coming years.

I've read you insult me 10 times, but I haven't read any arguments.

It’s definitely not.

What arguments are there to refute? You’ve made your read based on your podcasts that everyone will hit low end outcomes and were bad picks. Time will obviously tell which guys are good or not.
Let's admit it. You have the truth. You are the ONE.

However, I've been waiting for 7 years. Am I allowed to say that next year is compromised ?

Are you giving me the opportunity to say it ?

When should I remove a player from a prospect pool ? At what age ? How many games played ?

Vlasic : pool prospect or not ?
Knight : pool prospect or not ?
Bedard : pool prospect or not ?
Demidov : pool prospect or not ?
Hutson : pool prospect or not ?
Guhle : pool prospect or not ?

Because ultimately you control what I think and say.

I am compelled to ask you this because I need to leave my ignorance and reach your truth. I need your definitions. You will forever be my reference in terms of definition "pool prospect". No more former NHL players. Bye bye Guy Boucher.

Well, you could go by Calder consideration to determine who is and isn't a prospect.

But it's not simply about being a prospect, it's about being a young D in the toughest league in the world. It can take years for a player to fully develop, they don't just stop improving once they hit the NHL.

And that goes for all young defenders in this league, not just the Hawks.

In a league where the median age is 26, when does a young player stop ?

The saying is a defenseman needs a few hundred games to hit their peek.

I'm not necessarily advocating for waiting a handful of years to judge most of these guys, but it's way to f***ing premature to judge guys like Levshunov and Rinzel (who are 19 and 20 respectively) negatively. Simply being in the NHL at that age is a positive sign.

I validated Rinzel as a solid top-4 defender after 6 games. So I have to remove him ? Same thing for Levshunov.

Or should I validate them as solid top-2 defenders despite their lack of games ?

Let's say these guys + Schaefer, I'd approve the group as good. But it will take a long time to see them perform. This is why I have a hard time imagining Chicago in the playoffs before 2031.

I'm told I have to wait several years to see these guys good, and I'm criticized for thinking that in the next few years Chicago won't be good because the players will not yet be mature.

This is the problem of the user who is always trying to contradict. He doesn't know where he's going other than wanting to contradict. Taken together, it makes no sense.

Those kids will continue to improve in time, that does not mean they can't make the playoffs before 2031. Those two things are not contradictory of each other.

You are, however, the one who wrote early today about not seeing any of those guys for the Hawks as being top pairing defenseman for the future.

Honestly, I'm pretty tired of this back and forth. Really not worth me extending the conversation anymore.

You say that defenders take time. So, for players who will only be 25-26 years old in 2031, it's not crazy to think that things will be complicated by then.

I said #1 (elite) defender. I don't see any on the current roster. Why do you see who ? Even if we assume he's a currently late bloomer with a similar trajectory to Theodore, a guy like Levshunov would be elite by 2033. Currently, no Chicago defender is on track to reach that status for me.

And there's the question of the goalie, the five forwards around Bedard on a top six, the other dominant defender - things necessary to make the playoffs. It's the accumulation of uncertainty in 2025 in Chicago regarding these issues that makes me very skeptical about the next seasons.

You're the one who keeps contradicting me. I was just there to give my opinion and having to constantly explain myself because my words are systematically distorted and denigrated. You tired yourself out.

What's so crazy about not seeing Chicago in the playoffs in the next seasons ?

Are you trying to act dumb? No Vlasic isn’t prospect. Yes Rinzel Levshunov are prospect.

You “have a hard time imagining them reaching the playoffs before 2031. The current base is very weak, and so is the prospect pool. The team has regressed again this year” which is a wild statement that you didn’t support so you got into stupid semantic debates what what is a prospect. Perhaps hawks don’t make playoffs by 2031 but if you can’t imagine how young guys plus cap space could possibly lead to a playoff appearance before then you obviously lack deeper level thinking of possibilities.
