I would like to see something like this….

Boeser-Larkin-Raymond
DeBrincat-Kasper-Kane
Mazur/Ras-Compher-Tarasenko
Mazur/Ras-Copp-Soderblom

If Boeser isn’t interested in signing here, my hope would be Danielson has a big summer and could take that spot on the top line. I want to see Kasper start next season as the 2C, ideally. I think he’s ready for that and has some great momentum going into next year.

UFA or trade is referring to one of Provorov, Gavrikov, or a trade for someone like Byram or an equivalent young defenseman. Upgrading the forwards is secondary to upgrading the defense, and by a good gap in my eyes. I could be ok with running back mostly the same forward group…. We 100% need to bring in a top 4 defenseman that is an upgrade on what we have currently. I think ASP is going to need another year in the A to continue adjusting.

Compher and Berggren traded, Terriblesanko bought out. OK, they keep one for the 13th forward. I like Burger but he just doesn't seem like a fit in the line-up. If I were more practicel, MBN in GR and Burger on the 3rd line. I've always liked Tarasanko, but he just seems to have lost everything that made him a great player. I'd also move Copp over Compher but the consensus seems to be in the other direction.

Can't stand the goalie combo and struggle with breaking up Cat and Kane, but that top line needs something that isn't Terriblesanko I near put Berggren there but would likely get suspended from the site.


How about what they SHOULD NOT DO?!?!?!

Do NOT sign Marner. this team needs too many pieces

Dump Tank, Gus and Holl. They are a drag on the roster.

Beauvillier would be a huge upgrade on the 3rd line.
Fabbro would be an amazing add to our slow D.

I’m more concerned with upgrading the top pair and who plays next to Seider, and then I think everyone else can slot into a more appropriate role.

Chiarot-whoever is probably fine as the 3rd pairs as long as the whoever isn’t Holl.

Would have been nice to get Fabbro off the scrap heap, but not sure we need to add a further log jam on the back end.

Unfortunately you can’t just magically make players disappear.

It took a lot of restrain for me not to vote that option purely for the use of the word "truculent."

The PK was awful but it was largely the same personnel. I'd up Ras, Compher and Copp's minutes on the PK back to where they were and maybe try a different strategy than "stand around like you're a bubble hockey player."

I think Gus is going nowhere, seeing as both Todd and Steve kind of talked him up a bit about how they missed him when he was out injured. Not sure what Gus they were watching, but he was largely bad all year. The only benefit of the doubt I give him is that his main partner was Holl which is a nightmare for anyone to take on. Maybe he will be better if Holl is rocketed out of Detroit.
 
Thinking vegas will probably do something his off season after being ousted by edm. Wouldn’t shock me to see them suddenly chase marner 😂 who could they trade for cap space? I’d say we should 100% target Hague as I think he’ll be moved

If we didn’t have to tarasenko compher copp already I’d say we should target Barbashev especially if cost is cheap cause they’re looking to make moves. Need to try to convince joe Sakic compher was the missing piece 😂l tarasenko I’d get a 3rd team involved for double retention. Doubt stone would be available

If ekblad moves on would he sign a 4 year deal if he gets like 8 per? Or would other teams actually give him still 8x7. Asp can play pp2 and player 2-3 yrs as 3rd pairing guy easing into the league and ekblad can move down for a year if asp becomes as good as we hope (ekblad likely won’t come anyways)

Deal for on of kreider Bertuzzi who would likely be available. 2 years so short term and allows time for the kids to arrive a year or 2 from now

If demko says he’s ready to go make a move for him if he’s cheap

Trades I think would be the way to go this summer. Bigger concern is getting rid of the likes of tarasenko compher holl Gustafsson, possibly Berggren/Rasmussen, one of the goalies . Lot of guys to move
 
I think Tank and Gus have big years and actually play up to their contracts.

I expect Chariot and Holl to be the same as last season. (Holl likely healthy scratch mostly)

I do not expect SFY to sign any long contracts. Probably 2 years at the most, and you know what kind of players you get with that. Might as well offer Petry a one-year in that case.

If Marner is available and wants to sign, I could see him being the only long contract offer made. That isn't going to happen.

I expect the 2025/26 Wings to be similar to the previous season, with also giving more opportunity to the kids. Roster trades could happen (i.e., Rasmussen).

I don't expect to see any big changes until 2027. That's the timeline Yzerman has clearly built.
 
I think the Wings have a chance at Ekblad with him being from Windsor. Try to dump Gus and Holl and add him already makes us much better. We need a scenario where Copp and or Compher are also gone too. If we got get rid of them and add Bennett that would be great.

Wtf I saw a video from local French station talking about the leafs and changes coming and they mentioned pacioretty and how he still wants to play and might want to go back home and mentioned redwings ... home? I thought he was a ny guy

God no man let’s bring all the old recycled players here 😂 only way I bring pacioretty is if we kept tarasenko holl and try and tank one yr for McKenna ... offer Christian Dvorak 5 mill 1 yr , Joel armia same 😆

Wtf could we possibly want with max pacioretty

The problem is the term. Think pellikka will play 3rd pair for 7 yrs or ekblad final 4?

I’d do max 4 yrs higher salary. Think the left side d is more a priority and trade is the way to go. Hague can be a realistic trade target
