The Garden is dead during the regular season.

I been to 6 regular season games this year 19 the year before (since it was a shortened season that was almost every game) 11 the year before that and 15 the year before that. I can say with ever fiber of my body this is completely and utterly false. Its insane how how wrong this is. I have never once been to a game that was quit since living close enough to go to games.

As far as the other people that contributed thanks. Most is just speculation. Thortens comment came right after we had a come from behind win against them. Parise comment came right after our series with them in 2012 and earlier this year he apologized to the Rangers and Torts.

Mike Martignago @MikeMartignago

Tony Gallagher on Kesler/NYR: Kesler would rather go to prison than play for Alain Vigneault. #classicTony

I'd probably also vouch for Luongo not wanting to be a NYR after AV called him out on his poor performances in Vancouver, too.

Whenever 18,000 people gather in one place, it'll be loud.

Its nothing compared to how it used to be, however.

You're dead-on. I think the crowd is getting better than in the mid-2000's, but completely funereal compared to how it used to be.

About Marty St. Louis: I just read that his wife is from Greenwich, CT, and that's where he lives in the offseason. My guess is that has as much influence on his desire to play out his career with the Rangers as anything else.

Thats still not a valid point. Last year i was at a shark kings play off game that wasnt as loud as our regular season games. I was at a pitts boston play off game that wasnt as loud as our regular season. Comparing it to how it used to be is meaningless. Compared to the rest of the league isn't.

Not sure I understand Kesler not wanting to play for a coach where he posted career numbers?

seems pretty dumb to me.

I guess you weren't aware that AV put Kesler on blast around 2 years ago for his lack of offensive production. In a nutshell, AV said Kesler’s dropoff in offensive production had nothing to do with the major shoulder injury, calling Kesler a liar, baby, whatever you would like to call it.

He also apologized for that, and early this year said the rangers were lacking a player like Kesler.

I agree its no strange thought to hate your coach even if they are during your best years. I also wouldnt be surprised if Kesler wouldnt let those comments go.
