Black metal pioneer Varg Vikernes, unfairly judged for the euronymous murder in self-defense and for his traditionalist views
"During his incarceration, Vikernes launched the neo-Nazi organisation Norwegian Heathen Front" "Convicted of First-degree murder, arson, and possession of 150 kg of explosives (1994) inciting racial hatred (2013)"

"Vikernes was found guilty of several of these cases: the arson and attempted arson of Åsane Church and Storetveit Church in Bergen, the arson of Skjold Church in Vindafjord, and the arson of Holmenkollen Chapel in Oslo.

Werwolf from Satanic Warmaster, owner of Werewolf records which has some of the best finnish black metal around.
"references to Nazism show up in Satanic Warmaster's lyrics, song titles and participations on compilation albums, including the song title "My Dreams of 8" (the song refers to Adolf Hitler), lyrics of the song "Wolves of Blood and Iron", and the band's contributions to a 2006 Black Metal compilation titled Declaration of Anti-Semitic Terror "

... ... ...

Sounds like some really wholesome stuff @Fire Sweeney. Any favorite tracks from "Declaration of Anti-Semitic Terror" ?

No problem. I'll submit four awesome tracks for said band in this thread.

Spell of Destruction
Hvis lyset tar oss
Ea, Lord of the depths
Det som en gang var

Subject to alterations.
Went ahead and picked two songs before your reply. Would love to hear your thoughts on the same?

“My dreams of 8” — a dirge-y ode lamenting the death of Adolf Hitler and the 3rd Reich.

Instrumentation and production isn’t bad, but not especially good either. Lyrics sound like they were written by a 6th grader... “Time/decline” “life of strife” etc

As for the lyrical content: it makes me simultaneously physically ill to hear lyrics which romanticize and glorify the crimes of the Nazi regime, and profoundly sad for the lost souls who seek out and consume this music and subscribe to its ethos.

The man against time, in scorn against decline
One state, one folk, one leader, a true revelation
The purest essence of the cult of our blood
For infinity, flowing inside me... Forever binding me...
[…]
My dream of your empire
Fills me with joy
For it is also my fate
To end this life of strife in tragedy…. or supremacy.

“Wolves of Blood and Iron”

Watched the video on YouTube which featured a live performance. A study in contrast as compared to the first song - this is more of a bombastic exhortation to fellow white supremacist pagans (I guess these are the “traditionalist values” @Fire Sweeney was referring to?)

Musicianship is competent, musically it’s totally unremarkable.

Lyrics are pretty straightforward in their messaging and are presented here without further comment:

Sieg Heil!
The sign of our cross rises
The age of fire and retribution is upon us
Shadow resistance, the order of hate
Against the cross that has oppressed us for so long

Torching the Jewish creation

Laughing on their despair when they cry
Blood shall be our guide - On the battlefield
Where the churches burn bright in the night

We are the Black Wolves of Blood and Iron
Our hunger grows with the stench of holy blood
To feel is no remorse is our natural born pride
Might is right, and to devour those who are weak

To me, Burzum represents unbridled brutality for what one loves. Nature, etc. I probably should have picked it for my top four.
