What is this?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Nope. Sorry mate, I've been in st. Paul my whole life and my pops was even a season ticket holder for many years, so I've been to (and driven by) that arena more times than you can imagine.

Why are they there? They look gross.
They've been there for 20 years. It protect pedestrians from maniacs. The world is a dangerous place Abe sports venues are considered targets.

It was never ever like the way it is currently.

Since no one is capable of giving a straight answer, and apparently the XEC or City are providing no details, it seems my hunch may have been correct. The rot continues. But I'm sure janitor is happy! 😉

I've been a season ticket holder since the beginning. They weren't there for the 1st 5 years or so, they've been there for the nearly 2 decades since. This is NOT recent.

What I'm referring to are all the unsightly hunks of shit that are all of a sudden everywhere outside the X.

All is like to know is why all of a sudden they're needed there. If there's some sort of threat to our children walking down the street, I think it's all of our rights to know about said threat.

Construction Starts March 31, 2025

  • Reconstruction of Minnesota Street from 9th to 11th Streets is scheduled to start again on Monday, March 31, 2025.
  • Minnesota Street will be closed between 7th and 11th Streets.
  • Streets crossing Minnesota Street (7th, 9th, 10th and 11th Streets) will remain open to traffic.
  • Vehicle traffic will be detoured to Wabasha Street. Please follow all posted signs.
  • Sidewalk access will be maintained on one side of Minnesota Street. Please follow all posted signs.
  • Access to businesses, residential properties, and parking lots will be maintained.

They don’t need to provide details for something that happened years ago, for standard safety measures.

But sure, continue with your delusions.

They've never been there until recently. Why in tarnation would they f***ing need barriers at a facility that hasn't had them for 24 yrs? You got a source? You seem to be so smart 😉
They may not have had them in place 24 years ago, but they are absolutely normal and common with the changing times that we're in. It doesn't mean there are any specific threats. Hell, the Vikings stadium has been adding security upgrades in the past couple years that include those very blocks. It's not because the place has been targeted, it's just up-to-date security.

It's just as safe for anyone to walk around the X now as it was before the concrete blocks. It's just that now you're less likely to get hit by a car driven by a lunatic or some clueless idiot staring down at their phone.

They used the same things for the Metrodome even, long prior to US Bank Stadium

This is just not accurate. This photo is allegedly from 2013

Yes, now show gate 2 again, those road construction barriers are not what we're referring to
I'll try to find photos but the entire facility is now surrounded. Except for outside Ordway.

There was nothing that I recall and those pyramids were absolutely not there that I recall

It’s very strange that they use these measures to protect pedestrians from people in large city centers that are driving distracted. Wonder if they accounted for the people that are taking photos out of their moving shitbox passing by the X because they are triggered by formed concrete in this plan?

“Well you see officer, the reason why I am currently wrapped around said formed concrete is because I didn’t notice the person cross in front of my car as I busy taking photos of this concrete so I can share the photos in outrage with the remaining smooth brain family members and friends that will still talk to me.”

Yet here you can see them very clearly several years ago...

I see a few of them up by the very entrance. This photo was shot today:

I think I'll leave it there. Seems the city nor X have said anything about this and it's purpose. You personally have stated they're to keep "maniacs" out. I guess that's the best we can come up with at this point.

Yet a mod here just stated they're to keep "maniacs" out. Yet you continue w your bull**** narrative. 😜
