It's a tough play because they're immediately breaking up the ice. I personally think that if he jumped off it would have been a 2 on 1. I do think Kampf should have given him his stick (Benoit was yelling at him for it. It looks like Marner expected Kampf to give him his stick, so he committed too far to one side to cover the cross (even though both their D were high). Just a bad break that led to a chaotic breakdown.

Yup. A great 6. A solid 5... in a pinch with injuries he'd be a decent 4 for a bit.

I like his game and he has a good attitude. Meat and potatoes type of player who works hard for his minutes.

Nothing wrong with that.
