What happens if the Maple Leafs don't go deep into the playoffs? What changes will they make? What will be the consequences? How ill the fan base react?
It wouldn’t be any different than any other year
Bros complaining about complaining before anyone even complainedRemember this one when you complain about Leaf threads on the main board.
They're around their typical spot, 4th or 5th best team in East by record. This time with worse analytics but better goaltending (new coach, play more defensively). Hoping to get a good performance out of their big guys in Postseason and that Defense/Goaltending can outperform their cap allocation with so much tied upfront. Guess we'll see if it's any different. The East looks pretty wide open.Considering how good they’re this season and now Marner being a star at the Four Nations, things are actually setting up for the Leafs to win the Cup.
Leafs v Oilers Cup. Leafs win in 5.
Hey i'm just here to complainBros complaining about complaining before anyone even complained
With all due respect to Leaf fans, the pressure should have come 4 years ago and yet we're still talking about things ever changingThe pressure has to come at some point to make changes, if they don't win in the playoffs.
The return of J. R. Bob Dobbs.I think the more interesting question is: What happens if the Maple Leafs do go deep in the playoffs?
-- the end of the world (global Armageddon)?
-- The Second Coming of Jesus Christ?
-- 40 years of plague and pestilence?

The cap is going way up so they'll have no problem re-upping Tavares and Marner.
