As I see it, the club isn't built for any major changes. They've done a long-term investment in four or five guys they wanted to build around. Which is fine; you've gotta roll the dice one way or another.

Last off-season, it seemed they used the captaincy-change to pacify the fanbase that changes were being made, when really none were. Maybe this off-season, they'll unload Tavares or something for the same purpose.

They're around their typical spot, 4th or 5th best team in East by record. This time with worse analytics but better goaltending (new coach, play more defensively). Hoping to get a good performance out of their big guys in Postseason and that Defense/Goaltending can outperform their cap allocation with so much tied upfront. Guess we'll see if it's any different. The East looks pretty wide open.
