He's on the biggest joke of a franchise in the modern era. They're going to ruin every young player that comes through there the way they run it, it just took longer with him than most.

Going to be interesting to see if they can ruin a generational talent in McDavid

He is injured.

Somehow, after turning him into one of the best wingers in the game, this is the Oiler's fault and they ruined him. [MOD]

They should have traded him when the rumors were going around early on in the season, his stock is dropping by the month, I dont care if he plays for the Oilers, that is not an excuse.

But being injured is an excuse.

I'm pretty confident he'll get back to his old dominant form next year.

There is no way that the Oilers are letting their best player play if he is injured in a season that's been effectively over since November 1. "Injured" is an excuse from people that don't want to criticize their favorite player. Sometimes people just play bad.

He's not my favourite player. He is injured.

They let Nugent-Hopkins play with an injured shoulder even though the season was lost.

And sometimes people don't know what's going on so they just assume someone is playing bad.

Please note, Hall isn't playing tonight due to injury.

I would usually agree with you, but honestly I can't even fathom how anything else could affect his play to such a degree.

Plus it actually makes sense... He was good to start the season, hurt his leg, returned shortly after and has looked A LOT slower ever since.

29 P in 41 GP. This type of production is expected from an overrated center like Duchene, but Hall?

What happened to him? Genuine question to Oilers fans, how is he playing right now?

[MOD]Hall is struggling like the rest of his team. Not exactly uncommon.

he is not injured. these excuses need to stop. if he was hurt, there would be no reason for him to risk further injury in what is a lost season for the Oilers.

he's become disinterested. and probably a little pissed off at Oiler management for their sheer incompetence. which is totally understandable.

He is injured. He's not playing tonight because he is injured.

It's obvious watching him play that he doesn't have his speed right now due to said injury.

Like the Oilers.

:yo:

6-5-2 good on you for paying attention to how they've been doing lately.

I like how main board just goes into a cesspool mode and decides Oilers= black death of talent. Most people don't even watch the team since its past their bed times.

No real discussion about his actual play, save for a handful of people, just a bunch of shots at the Oilers.

They are playing a lot better under Nelson, but that ruins the narrative.

Do you even watch your own team? Black death of talent describes it perfectly. 6-5-2? Yeah let's forget about losing 20 out of 21 immediately before that. The Oilers have rightly earned their reputation.

why would he bother to play injured for the Edmonton Oilers? theres nothing to gain from that.. doesnt make any sense.

What's the point of playing injured for Edmonton though? Might as well rest up...

Ask Sheldon Souray.

"I wasn’t even ready to play when I came here, but it was like, ‘We signed you, you go out and play.’ I hadn’t been cleared to play yet, but I was being questioned by the organization:‘When are you going to be able to play?’

"I go out, play six games, and I get hurt."

Souray said it wasn’t the training staff applying the pressure; it was "management."

The one constant from that time is Kevin Lowe and people wonder why Oiler fans want that sack of **** gone.

Not saying Lowe shouldn't go, but Sheldon Souray is a joke.

Nobody is saying to forget the other games, but they are playing better now.

Clearly that holds no weight with you so whatever.

Rather than discussing Taylor Hall's play you seem content to take shots at the Oilers.

Well, I mean, to be fair they also had Eakins as their coach for that 21 game skid, and have been 6-5-2 since hiring Nelson.

I think Eakins could make the Blackhawks look bad, that guy was just so, so bad.

I probably watch them more than some random Islanders fan.

The guy said lately they've done bad. I'm aware the 20/21 streak was recent, but more recent was the 6-5-2 record. So where exactly am I wrong?
