A few years removed from the debacle with the Coyotes, will he get another job in hockey and/or is he already working somewhere?
Has he been blacklisted due to his subsequent suspension by Gary Bettman?

He owns 12 Wendy's franchises which makes me laugh for some reason, but I am sure it also keeps him quite busy, so no judgement if he isn't chasing more work.

He's also very young - likely young enough to be given another chance in upper management once he completes some token ethics courses or something.

Doesn’t appear to be doing anything by my quick google search, doubt he get another chance in the NHL

He is probably blackballed by the NHL

His sister is successful. Doesn't she have a whole lot of Wendy's franchises

Just like Kid Lester leaving Taft.

Chaka slinked out of town on a rainy gloomy day……. Never to be seen or heard from again!

On top of having no ethics, he was a horrible GM. Some of his moves were applauded at the time, but they almost all turned out to be garbage. He was like the young stockbroker who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room but has no wisdom. The Coyotes are perhaps the worst run franchise in all of sports and he contributed greatly to that.

I was just gonna say- probably running a hedge fund somewhere.

The guy is a con artist in the form of a "It's never my fault narcissist" that seems to be more common these days. He'll no doubt get opportunities to bilk people out of their money by telling them what they want to hear, but not in the NHL.

Wasn't he suspended and got his contract ripped up for seeking other NHL jobs while with the coyotes? Then the whole in-house combine thing

he might get a chance later on, but not sure why anyone would be running out for his services

I dunno but I don't like that he's only a year older than me and already has a whole NHL GM career in the rearview mirror by multiple years

Yeah it's crazy how young he was/is for an NHL Executive/GM. Feels like that whole saga was 10 years ago....

The Chayka hiring made no sense from the beginning, he was a 26 year old with one year of professional experience under his belt.

All I know is that there aren't enough Wendys' (objectively the best fast food place I will not be taking questions) in Toronto so he needs to get on this.
