What do you think should happen with Derek Lalonde?

I wonder how much he is meddling in things. Could be a colossal cluster going on in Detroit.

This is so f***ed. 31 other NHL organizations would have fired this guy already in varying timelines from those 2 sinks last year that cost us the playoff's and between this season. It's actually unf***ingbelievable. Fire Lalonde. It's the one god damn thing you can do to restore a tick of good faith back to this loyal fanbase.

Yup...Was skeptical of Lalonde after his 1st season (Blashill clone)...During last season the team had far too long of stretches of ineptitude which to me is a sign of poor coaching and Lalonde should've been let go at the end of last season...Now we're stuck with him - may as well keep him and ride the tank.

My primary purpose of following this team at this point of the season is checking here daily for news that Lalonde has been fired.

Even that one season where we were dead last, I didn't feel like the games were just a slog to watch compared to this year. Maybe we had Witkowski that season and the fights were making up for the bad games.

Ehh. Those games near the end of the Blashill era where teams were putting up 8, 9, 10 goals against us were pretty rough.

Then again... it was pretty evident at that point that Blashill had lost the room, kinda like it's evident Lalonde has now.

Watson played 2 games, and he didn't look particularly energetic at all to me.

He only played 7 minutes a game but he had 6 hits in that time. That's more than Copp has on the season, inx another 2 or 3 games he would probably pass like 5 or 6 regulars in the wings line up.

Give him 5 games to settle in a bit and see if he provides a spark, cant hurt at this point

IIRC, he also made a glaring mistake that led to a goal against. But that doesn't differentiate him from anyone else on this team. Honestly never seen so many stupid mistakes in my life.
