as if hes going to be behind the bench tomorrow..

Yzerman needs to quit being soft, put his big boy pants on and do what needs to be done. Yzerman is honestly starting to tarnish his own legacy as a Red Wing...great player, but hes a manager who is too afraid to make any rash decisions

man up Steve

He could literally be the worst GM in all of sports history and it means nothing with how he is viewed as a player.

Boston's cup-or-bust. I hope you don't think we are.
Of course not. This is a developing team that’s supposed to be on the climb out of the rebuilding stage.

With that being said, The current coach at hand doesn’t do anything well. He’s been a placeholder since his hire and with the team being near competing stages; it’s time to get a real coach.

Piss poor start to the year. The team looks to have no identity. Most players look demoralized. Unless the team is okay with finishing bottom 5 this year and getting a real good draft pick, then I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the right time to have left Lalonde in California and to have hired an intern (at the least) for the time being to try to save the sinking ship

Triggered by not wanting a guy who helped hide sexual assault which led to the guy doing it to kids.

Consider me triggered then, it's like the same people who use snowflake when actually they are the ones who get butthurt faster than anyone.

f*** Joel Quenneville

Yep don't want him anywhere near the Wings. Thankfully it seems he wants a team that's further along and ready to win than what we are so hopefully the opportunity to even get him won't happen.

He should play Gru in a live action Despicable Me movie. Or Mini Me in a new Austin Powers movie

Last time Red Wings have fired a Head Coach at mid-season, was at 1985-86.

Yzerman even didn't fire Guy Boucher, when the team did drop from 103 points --> 84 points during his second season. They still went to 3rd season and then he was fired after 31 games. (shortened 48-game season).

That 3rd Boucher-firing season ended with 68-point pace and they drafted 3rd overall (Jonathan Drouin).

Yeah, I don't see SY firing Lalonde unless he loses the room completely. Watching the wings play, I am still not sure that the flu bug hasn't been to blame for some of the fiasco we see, some of the older players may take some time to fully recover, but I see way too many brain farts and coasting out there.

I still think Lalonde needs to keep Raymond, Kane and Tank as the first 3 RWs and do some more mix and match. I would like to see at least a 4 game stint of Berggren, Kasper and Raymond as a second line, then they reunite the Kane, Cat and Larkin.

If things don't get better soon (early December), I would look for SY to make a move with a contender, such as the Canes after Christmas, expect something wild especially if Andersen goes down again, salary in = salary out so maybe like Talbot + Ras/JV + Motte/Lagesson + 3rd = Necas, especially if Talbot get a Team Canada nod, his value will be sky high for the contract.

Necas has 30 points in 18 games. They are not dealing him for a bandaid goalie and assorted pieces.

Honestly, keep this man and ride out a bad year. This roster has a lot of glaring holes and bad players that I don't think are worth panic-fixing this season. While I'm I'm optimistic that a new coach is going to be for the better, I just feel we need to settle for a Realbad year

Let's have a New Jersey setback ala 2018-19 after that miraculous playoff berth (basically almost us last year) and then win that lottery finally baby. Sell off Kane and another veteran or two like Tarasenko and bomb this shit down the final stretch

Getting a top 5 pick this year, and especially top 3 would be amazing for us and we could bounce back with a big offseason going into 2025-26. The core we have surrounding this player would allow them a bit easier NHL transition to where they will become a better impact player, faster

Only problem is that I hope it doesn't piss off Larkin, Seider, and Raymond. I know those guys wanna win really bad and they're our best shot at it
