There's no other coach I'd rather have. The way we play under AV, we literally haven't seen in 35 years.

AV gets a B+ from me. We could have won the cup last year and he would still get a B+. Why? He continues to play Tanner Glass which essentially makes us a 3 line team.

In all seriousness though he is a great coach. As Machinehead said there is no one else I would want to have as our coach right now.

Claude has his faults, but his track record speaks for itself. Too many think he should be canned, every single season. A few think he should have a job for life. If the team flames out this playoff and is in a similar standings situation in Dec/Jan next year, I fire him, but he gets that long with me.

Tippet defers to tenure over talent and will defer to tenure over who is playing better at the time. Particularly painful that he will start a goalie based on the goalie being chosen as the "#1" rather than start the goalie who is playing better. Brilliant coach for a specific kind of roster. Lacks the ability to adapt when the roster falls outside of that narrow type. A veteran laden playoff bound team, good fit for Tip. A young rebuilding team, not his strength.

Todd Richards seems to know of only one style of hockey - dump & chase..

Makes frustrating lineup changes that never seem to work out and cannot adjust his scheme to fit our current crop of players who actually are not injured...

The jury is still out on Peters. He says a lot of cool things, but his moves are reactionary/results based, and he's quick to healthy scratch players. Plus he mixes up the lines constantly. Possession has improved though, so we'll see if that can carry over into results.

I basically feel the same as the other Coyotes fans that responded. Tippett is great with older teams, but he has trouble trusting young players and when given the chance, he'd rather play older, lesser skilled players, even if it's clearly not working.

To his credit, some young players he did seem to take a quick liking to, like Tobias Rieder and Connor Murphy, but it's usually very hard for them to gain his trust and even easier for them to lose it. All too many times we've seen a young player get benched because of a mistake while the likes of Dave Moss gets their ice time.

Though at least once recently he has suggested that we lost because of young players, which I find quite infuriating.

Hopefully he's not our coach next season, as we should have a few new rookies on the team. Some team will hire Tippett instantly if we fire him, and they'll be very happy with him for at least the first few years, but at this moment he's not the right guy for us.

I like Willie D for the most part. But his love affair with Vey and Dorsett is starting to look like AV with Rome and Glass. Though Vey and Dorsett are leaps and bounds better than the ex-Canucks.

Bruce Boudreau:

Positives:
- The best coach I've seen about getting the best out of their players. Bruce does an amazing job at finding the right role for his players.

-Ensures that he rolls 4 lines. I think this is vital for players during the season.

Negatives:

-Very bad at adapting to other team. I think this is what kills him in the playoffs. He gets outcoached often.

-Horrible communicator in difficult situations. Hiller is a good example, and I could care less what that ***** of a goalie thought.

-I'm not fond of how he uses his goaltenders. He's overplayed Andersen this year IMO. Also didn't like how he handled the goaltending in the playoffs.

I'd grade him at a B- personally. I'd take Babcock or Hitchcock over him personally.

Cameron is coaching a mediocre team with management, mediocre offense, mediocre defence, good goaltending, decent prospects, and a broke owner.

Can't really evaluate him with all those factors

This is about where I am at with Claude as well. He's been very frustrating this year and it has been his worst as Bruins coach, but the grass is always greener, fire him and it is unlikely you are able to bring in someone better, I'd give him until next year minimally to turn things up again.

My fanbase wants him (Boudreaul gone but I remember the pre lockout days and the post cup Carlyle days. I'll take top of the league standings year after year than deal with those nightmares again. Carlyle lucked out with a well built team.

If this was Planet of the Apes, Coach Maurice would be Caesar.

Mo has been fantastic. He handles the media like a boss and appears to extract the most out of his charges. There is a lot to like!

Capitals..

Barry trotz:
I like his defense first approach.. has changed Ovechkin for the better.. it was a little rocky at the start of the season... but its good to know we can close out close games and still have the offensive talent to put games out of reach.

from a viewers perspective my favorite coach would be BB
the caps played amazing hockey.. always exciting to watch and even guys like Mike green excelled.

BB hockey fails in the postseason
