Capitals..

Barry trotz:
I like his defense first approach.. has changed Ovechkin for the better.. it was a little rocky at the start of the season... but its good to know we can close out close games and still have the offensive talent to put games out of reach.

from a viewers perspective my favorite coach would be BB
the caps played amazing hockey.. always exciting to watch and even guys like Mike green excelled.

Hitch is really good, his system works very well for the goaltenders and that's obvious. I think he's starting to become a little less effective as the game changes.

Not sure if I'd swap him out for another coach ATM though. Maybe Babcock?

There's no other coach I'd rather have. The way we play under AV, we literally haven't seen in 35 years.

Dave Cameron has done better than expected, but I don't have a lot of faith in his long term viability as HC.

Flyers -

I was raised not to say anything if you can't say anything nice.... Well, I guess it's nice that Berube's contract is up at the end of the season.

Bill Peters - Small sample size, but I like a lot of what I've seen so far. The team is playing much more consistent and competitive.

No complaints about Babcock anymore. The Cleary love affair is over, the best players seem to play regardless of "seniority." I have a little quibble about using Weiss as a 4th line winger at $5M, but it's really not that significant considering the depth of our forward corp.

Bob Hartley is my favourite coach in the league. The way the players have bought in with him has been refreshing, and the style we play is highly entertaining with all of the rush offence we generate. In addition, he's witty and charismatic with the media, while at the same time being capable of single-handedly undoing Tortorella's coaching career.

Some decisions do rub you the wrong way (if he doesn't trust a player it shows, and it can take a really long time to earn trust with him), but overall I've started to appreciate the way he manages the bench.
