I expect the rest of the season will be pretty rough from a win/loss perspective mainly because other teams are fighting for playoff spots and will be upping their games. The team already lacks talent/depth to be competitive plus we will probably move some guys.

The last 26 games have been rough the last 3 years so I don't expect it to be much different this year.

21-22: 7-15-4
22-23: 8-16-2
23-24: 8-10-8

I expect no sniff of playoffs, or even the mix, but I expect they will get a pick one lower than the last upper tier prospect available.

Simply speculating but.................:whatever:

Unfortunately the fans are still flooding the gates to see that litter on the ice. I would not advocate anticipating drastic measures as the fan support is strong and the money continues to flow in affording ownership the luxury of non-urgency to make changes.

There's speculation that trades will happen right after the tournament (NHL probably wants to keep all the attention on 4 nations). If Montreal is a part of that, who we trade and what the return is will ultimately dictate our expectations for the rest of the season.

My opinion is the current team is capable of great games, but consistency is elusive for them right now (which tracks for a rebuilding team making positive strides.) If the PP gets hot and the goaltending can be decent at least, we could rack up points as we'd probably end up going to OT/SOs a lot.

Ladies and Gents... I've never been so bored at watching hockey in my life... since the early 70s, ive been avid about my habs...

It is because they do not compete anymore or is it my old age?

i only got seriously into watching them in the early 90's after getting married and was fortunate enough to watch their glorious run in 93 when i bought my first home, after that it's been pretty much downhill. They just can't put together a consistent winning product and it doesn't look much better this time, not impressed with KH,JG so far but lets hope they start swinging for the fences this summer and start putting together a REAL team and not reclamation projects that may or may not work out.Laine is a head case ,Dach isn't much better and Newhook....well as Michel Bergerven said if the Zamboni gate were open he'd skate right into it 😂 ,haven't we had enough Bargain bin moves for one lifetime ?
