What Do You Expect from the Habs after the Break

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Curious to hear how you think the Habs will play after the break? Will they continue the losing streak? Bounce back and go on a run for a playoff spot, or maybe play 500. Hockey till the end of the year?

I thought they were mentally and physically exhausted going into the break and think some time off will help them regroup. Your thoughts?

I expect a better performance from the forwards, specifically Slaf, Dach, Newhook and Laine.

But we will still lose a bunch because we can't sustain the loss of Guhle.

In terms of overall standings, I can't see us improving much if at all. Especially with Evans, Armia, and/or Savard gone. In terms of individual performances, I think the top line will be much better.

Honestly, for Evans and Savard to be gone

and in a perfect world, they'll find a deal to replace Dach earlier than the draft, i'd love to get a taste of someone else earlier than that instead of worrying all summer, wondering if our new #2C will be good enough

Expect? More horrible uninspired play and plummeting down the standings to get a top 5 pick which we use to draft some plumber

I hope for them to look like they give a shit even a little bit but I definitely don’t expect it

-Kirby Dach will win the green jacket.
-Laine will be slower
-Anderson will do even more useless laps
-Gallagher will fall on the ice
-Matheson will continue to keep it real
-Slaf will continue to poke-check and get run over
-MSL will get endorsed by a chewing gum company.

60 percent of the time I'm right all the time.

Habs give their best and the hockey Gods reward them with a lottery win.

Calgary’s pick somehow falls to 11 OA and the pick is bundled up with Evans’ return (late first) and early PIT’s 2nd for PIT’s 1st.

Habs end up drafting Schaefer and Desnoyers.

Profit.

Much of the same. Hopefully, they will play .500 and show more passion.
