What country do you want to beat the most?

As a Dane, the other Scandinavian countries are always nice to beat. We don't get to do that very often in hockey, so when it happens we are in heaven. I feel it is the other way around in football.

As an American, it's Canada... followed by Russia.

3) Switzerland

Yes, I know the US are currently the more dangerous opponent and Canada-USA youth programs constantly bump heads... but to me, Russia will probably always be the main hockey rival to Canada.

And though Switzerland isn't on the same level as countries like Sweden or Finland (or a myriad of other hockey countries), they've shown themselves to be thorn in Canada's side in international hockey.

As a Canadian my list is as follows.

1) United States

2) Russia

With the United States at least for me it has to do with not wanting to have it in my face from some Americans that they won Olympic Gold and at worst at the expense of Canada. Also besides Hockey the Americans always seem to win Gold in other Olympic events like Basketball and Soccer. So when Canada can beat them in general in no matter the sport, I say it's a good thing.

With Russia I enjoyed seeing them lose when there is all that preasure on them to win like in Sochi. So when Finland defeated them I was shocked and a little disappointed because Canada didn't have the chance to do it themselves.

Maybe in women's soccer. In men's we couldn't even qualify.

Being Canadian its always sweet beating Russia, they are our historical rival and really the only country throughout history that has actually put up a challenge for us, but at the same time its also sweet beating the Americans, I guess you can say its a neighbouring rivalry type of thing, same for the Swedes and Finns.

But ya hands down Russia, the US seems like they are only capable of beating Canada at the junior levels these days, and even then its hit and miss, but at the senior level Canada always beats the US in the big games, Russia on the other hand is capable of beating Canada at all levels.
