I'm a little curious because outside of my Canadian paradigm and the assumed Sweden vs. Finland rivalry I don't know how anyone else feels.

1.) U.S.A - If I could beat any country in a gold medal game on their own soil it would be the Americans. Take it as a compliment.
2.) Sweden - They're a good team but I feel like analysts and fans always overestimate them so I like it when Canada can show them what's up.
3.) Russia - Russia used to be number 2 for me but I just don't get up for Russia anymore. I noticed it in 2010 when I was very confident going into the game. Just didn't have a rivalry feel for me.
4.) Switzerland - I hate their boring, kill the game, and hope 1 goal wins it style of play. I also hate people always saying how they're a threat to Canada.
5.) Czech Republic - Used to be number 1. I hated the Czechs after Nagano, to the point where I really didn't appreciate Jagr and Hasek as much as should have until recently. Now that they're falling behind I kind of want to see them do better.
6.) Finland & Slovakia - Always underrated and under-appreciated. I usually cheer for them in games that don't involve Canada.

You guys?

1) America - Second strongest hockey country in the world, in my opinion. Always a good match against them

2) Russia - Lots of offensive weapons. That Russia/Canada match in 2010 was very fun

1) As a Canadian living in the US, definitely USA. In 2002, 2010, and 2014 I had to endure a lot of smack talk from my coworkers who were the typical ignorant, bandwagon Olympic hockey fans. I can only imagine how bad it would have been if the US had won any of the medal round games.

2) Russia is a close second. So much history between the two best hockey nations. It has been nice to remind Russia lately that in the history of the game they are clearly the second best nation. If I moved back to Canada, this may become first because my personal life would be less affected by USA-Canada games.

3) Everyone else.

4) If Canada has to lose, I prefer Finland because I respect most of their players and how well as a team they box above their weight in international competitions.

Canada

I enjoyed beating Russia, even if we shouldn't have and beating Sweden would be nice but it doesn't compare.

As a Canadian, it is USA all the way. I can take losing to traditional powers, but I live in constant fear of the day that the USA's sheer population advantage translates into them dominating hockey.

As a Canadian, its close between Russia and the United States. I'd say Russia for two reasons, they are historically are rivals and always claim to have dominated international hockey.Secondly, at the moment the United States best line featured two guys on my hometown team, so seeing Kessel and JVR do well gives me some small consolation prize. But to be honest as a Canadian losing at hockey anytime sucks because we are always the favorites. Success at hockey is truly a defining national characteristic and unifying force.

Depends who I'm watching. I'm American but I also cheer for some countries of my heritage.

For the USA, it's Canada, no doubt.

For Norway, it would be great to ever beat Sweden.

For France, I'd feel the best about beating Germany.

For China, they suck and don't beat anyone.

As a Swede: 1- Canada, 2- Finland, 3- Russia, 4- Czech Republic, 5- Slovakia

As an American: 1- Canada, 2- Russia, 3- Finland, 4- Czech Republic, 5- Slovakia

As a Dutchman: 1- Germany, 2- Belgium, 3- France, 4- Great Britain, 5- Hungary

As an American I want a rematch of the Gold Medal game from 2010.

I hate Canada with a passion when it comes to international play and our pride is on the line

Eh, they beat Kuwait 35-0 in 1999!

This x100. As a Canadian living in the USA, it was so sweet for Canada to beat the Yanks.

Russia and USA are neck to neck. It is a tie for me, but i give the edge to Russia. All i heard the last two years was how Russia was going "to get their revenge on Canada on the Big Ice in Sochi". How did that turn out for Russia (LOL). Looking forward to beating either of these teams in the Gold Medal Game of 2018, and a Canada Three-Peat in Korea, if the NHL gives the go.

I would answer this with a list of teams I hate seeing beat Canada. And even though I hate seeing Canada lose to anyone, Russia is by far the worst. It drives me crazy, it makes so mad, especially when that hot dog, chicken ***** kovalchuk is on the team.
1. Russia
2. USA
3. Sweden
Honourable Mention: Switzerland (memories of 06' I guess)

Czech Republique, after all, it seems that it's the only big nation Germany can at least beat once in a while:shakehead
