Wondering what type of interest Hronek could fetch in the market.

Super solid 2 way-top pairing Dman. Can probably produce 50+ points if he was QB for PP1 for trading team.

Defensive game is very good and has allowed Q Hughes to reach Norris level since being paired with him.

Only 27 yrs old and signed to a very good 7.2 mil AAV for 7 more years.

Ive been really impressed with Mancini whom the Canucks got from the Miller trade. I think Mancini is easily ready to be a full time NHLer next year. RDs for Canucks next year would still be solid with Willander, Mancini and Myers if Hronek is moved.

I'm interested in seeing the following scenarioes as return in a trade. Either 3 scenarios would work.

1. A young centre or forward that can produce now.

2. A picks and prospect return as if the Canucks are rebuilding

3. A return package that the Canucks can use as ammo to trade for Centre and Forward help.

I'd offer #10 + Helleson (Canucks can still have a little RD depth/competition) for Hronek.

Then I trade Gudas and make McTavish captain as part of re-signing him long-term.

Ducks roll with Hronek, Trouba, Moore, Luneau at RD.

That contract looks a lot worse without Hughes dragging him around the ice. He’s a mid pair offensive defenseman who needs someone to cover his weaknesses. I’d say a pick around #20 and a 3rd. Nothing has changed since the Canucks acquired him except he now gets paid more.

You didnt watch Canucks over the last 2 years of you think Hughes has been dragging Hronek around.

Hronek covers alot of ground for Hughes when Hughes is attacking. Hronek plays a very similar role that Toews plays for Makar.

Hronek was also very very good when Hughes was injured this year and showed he is a top pairing Dman wihtout a doubt.

I could see about 25 teams where he would play top pairing or 2nd pairing RD for.

This would be an interesting offer.

Would probably work if the Canucks decided that Hughes is leaving and they are full rebuilding.

If not, i wonder if the Canucks can then flip the #10 and #15 to get that 2nd line C.

I also wonder if the Canucks are interested in Zegras.

Zegras + for Hronek trade?

This is likely the best offer the Canucks would get

I would think the Habs would be interested to potentially find a fit with Hutson if VAN accepts futures.

Habs futures assets are something like:

CGY 1st (16th overall)
MTL 1st (17th overall)
Owen Beck
Oliver Kapanen
Joshua Roy
Filip Mesar
Logan Maillioux
Adam Engstrom
Jayden Struble
Jakub Dobes
Cayden Primeau
PIT 2nd
MTL 2nd

I'm sure you could find a few pieces you like that fits the value out of that list.

A trade like this only works if Vancouver goes retool/rebuild, which I don't see to be honest. More likely he stays in VAN or gets moved for an established 2C.

Would add Matheson to that list (50% retained) that Vancouver can retain another 50% and likely get a 2026 1st at the TDL

Spoken like someone who truly didn't watch one minute of him play this year.......Bravo, bravo...........

Yes this. It's fantasy hockey talking about current Canucks management trading Hronek for futures right now. On the other hand if the Canucks are confident enough in both Willander stepping in right away and Mancini progressing, maybe they could look at moving Hronek for a forward.

This is just speculation and also unlikely, but at the moment it's the only realistic way he might get shopped.

That’s so BS, when Hughes went down with an injury Hronek was very solid for us. He’s a legit top pairing RHD, in his prime on a great contract. What do you think a team would sign him for if he were to hit UFA this summer?

Imo he's a lot better than people on here will think
With our without Hughes, he plays a very tight game... when Hughes missed games last year he really stepped up...
he's not just a puck mover too... he has this like...feisty part of his game that i like.

If Hughes gets played with Willander one day and Hronek plays with M. Pettersson... Hronek will still put up good stats on the second pairing. Really like this player
I think he's a perfect NO.2 guy ... he could play with a big physical dman, a slick puckmover or a puck rusher... he's very plug and play.

It's astonishing to see these completely uninformed comments on here. Clearly many commenting didn't actually watch him this season. Hughes missed a decent amount of time this year and when he did Hronek stepped up MASSIVELY and played like a number one guy. Yes A NUMBER ONE GUY..........

HIs contract is actually GREAT value...............laughable to say it's not.

Not sure what his value would be? He's only increased his value since he was traded to Van. Probably a first rounder, middle 6 roster player and young B+ prospect if I had to guess?

Does he alone get you a top 6 C? Probably not unless it's an older one however he def. gets the conversation started.........

After 8 years of Braden Schneider and Brandon Carlo proposals I cannot believe Canuck fans have learned nothing from our experiences.

We're actively out here peddling top flight RHD to the rest of the league trying to 'sell' these invaluable players to fans.

Being a Canuck fan is real hard these days. Its a clown show.

No disrespect to the OP theyre solid and I understand their reasoning it's just ridiculious we're at this point truly.
