What coaches will be on the hot seat if their teams get knocked out in the first

All betting sites have Carbery winning by a mile. Evason would’ve been a great choice if CBJ had made the playoffs. As for Montgomery, it’s a bit weird to give the Jack Adams to a guy who got fired by another team this season.

That exactly what would make it great, no?
(I do think the award is going to Carbery)

If im Dallas id be dumping Deboer if they lose rd 1
Stars fans already turned against him because he had his first big losing streak in 3 seasons. Stars had never lost more than 2 in a row the entire time he's coached here up till the last 7 games of this season.

There really aren't any 'obvious' candidates. I guess Bednar or DeBoer would be the most plausible but even then I could see them getting another shot.

Should happen, probably won't happen.

Nill has fired exactly 1 coach, it was Monty, and it was for off ice issues
I give him another season with Rantanen and a healthy Stars team. Nill finally getting the defense taken care of this offseason will improve as well.

Obvious one is DeBoer, other than that maybeeee Knoblauch? Other than that no one. Leafs aren’t getting rid of Berube any time soon,

I don't think Deboer should get dumped after this specific series, how can you honestly expect to win with your best and 3rd/4th best player missing. That's basically curtains unless you're the 1-2 seed playing a 7-8 team.

How do you think he's going to fix the defense? There's no good UFA blue liners this year.
And he's somehow got to get out of Lyubushkin and Dumba just to open spots to "fix" it.
He had opportunity to fix it this past year and he f***ed it up horribly

With their injuries that gives him an out.

I would go the other way and say if Dallas manages to beat Colorado without Robertson and Hieskanen that should get Bednar fired
Ya, that’s not how it usually works. Although, Jim Nill is a gem and a great guy, so may be…

One would argue that playing Robo in that useless last game vs Preds, wherein he got hurt, was a bad coaching decision.

Do tell, now you've got me curious.
I think he can run a team and is one of the best at making adjustments, and that's what Dallas needs right now. Isn't he something like 6-0 in game sevens? Reminds me of Paul Maurice, he's been good for a long time but nobody will give him credit until he wins a cup.

You have to imagine if the Canes lose to the Devils in the first round Brind'Amour is going to start getting questioned
Unless Rod gets into a massive disagreement with management or decides to leave on his own then he will be the coach of the Hurricanes. Losing in the first round to the Devils would suck obviously but I doubt his seat is even luke warm.

If Bednar loses this series, he needs to be fired. Playing a cooked EJ over Malinksi, refusing to change the 2nd line when Necas was moved down to that line they started producing.

And playing Wood over and over when he just does the worst things ever.

I couldn't believe it when Boston fired Montgomery but then he goes to the Blues and takes that team on a run right into the playoffs and looking strong while Boston kept sinking. Go back to letting Cassidy go and he goes and wins the cup....is there a mirror in the GM's house or office?

As a Bruins fan with plenty of skin in the game, I am really hoping Knoblauch (would be very stupid) or Bednar (a little more understandable) gets canned.

Anaheim is watching and waiting for the first round exit carnage with interest.
