I just think it is a waste of money having Rielly sheltered on the bottom pair or sitting in the stands when he's making 7.5M a year, even if it might be the best place for the team defensively. I'd be okay with it if he was only making 1-2M a year. Wishing Keefe to at least to try him on LW for a few games to see if he might work out better there. He could still play D on power play. Who knows, he might even be able to replace our Swiss Army knife when Kerfoot leaves.

Well you're going to have to get over that if you want this team, with these players, to win. He's been awful this year and the only guy that's been able to play with him is now being press-boxed because we "have a deeper team".

He ain't playing LW.

IMO we need a new coach - Keefe is not strong.

Lilly should never bee taken out of the lineup unless for a matenaiane day or injury.

We really should be resting Gio down the stretch here.

Some combination of Liljegren/Brodie on the right with McCabe/Rielly on the left and rotate the bottom 5 guys in the last 20 games or so.

Rielly's best 10 game stretch this year was about the only time he played with Brodie but a Rielly/Liljegren pair drives a tonne of offense 5 on 5.

Having Liljegren take over a shutdown pair with McCabe for the next 3 seasons would be ideal.

Reilly needs someone competent defensively and he/Brodie have the most familiarity together.

I've come to accept it, Keefe likes Holl so he's staying in. And he doesn't trust Liljegren in a top 4 spot so there's where we are. I can't say I entirely disagree as Holl has been mostly quietly reliable.

Schenn starts in game 1 to send a message to the Bolts. If he plays well he stays in. I think most fans like Liljegren and want him in there, but this first series is an absolute must-win, go with the experience. And again, if Schenn falters at all, Timothy will get his shot.

Rielly i think will depend with who rielly feel more confortable to play with and i think its will be schenn like it wqs the case with boosh

I think the final spot will be between liljegren and holl, i dont know who will start but i think both will see ice time during playoff

I don’t care what the pairings are as long as Rielly does not get the tough matchups and most minutes. He is a huge liability defensively and needs to be sheltered. But this will never happen because of his salary.

Seems like the obvious configuration to me

I like how you have toughness mixed in with skill in Schenn and Rielly. Vet in Gio mixed with youth in Lilly. The Brodie and McCabe pair is a nice mix of some toughness with a steady smart dman in Brodie.

Seems like a very balanced pairing throughout.

You give Rielly 13-15 minutes he’ll be great. Give him 20+ against the top line he can’t do it. People need to start realizing that Morgan just isn’t a top pairing guy. Defensively he can be a disaster at times

My pairings are strictly on what I want in a game 7. I trust McCabe and Brodie to be the most trustworthy D pairing in crunch time. On the second pair I put Rielly with Schenn because Rielly can take advantage against the 2nd and 3rd lines while still doing what he likes to do and Schenn over there being a cover for him defensively. On the 3rd pair, I’m allowing Gio to rest a bit, and allow Liljegren to gain confidence in a playoff atmosphere with a veteran and shelter his mins a bit
