Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I am expecting a season of enjoyment. I will watch every game that I possibly can.
The bmstart of the season will be quite exciting because of the many new players, then pretty quickly the wait for the playoffs will begin. Anything other than an elimination in round 1 would be a surprise though. So more of the same until our stars get their heads out of their asses.

I expect nothing. The regular season is worthless with regards to this team because we already know how it's going to end come April. Sure there's a chance they re-write the script come the postseason but that's a long shot at this point and not a bet I'd make.
There's nothing they could do over a long and arduous 82 game season that will give me any confidence in their winning chances come playoff time. 1st place, 4th place, home ice or no home ice, this team has been in pretty much every type of position a team can be heading into the playoffs and they've f***ed it up every time.
So screw it. I'll watch here and there but I can't be arsed to listen to constant analysis about this team or comb over every minutia of the game to see how this team progresses. I'll try my damndest to enjoy any exciting moments they may have over the regular season, even if it's a foregone conclusion that it'll all be for naught.

Expectation should be challenge for a cup.
But they've managed to lower the bar to the point that people just want to see them win a single playoff round.

Expectations haven't matched reality. All I expect is getting past the first round this year. I look at our team now and while no Jumbo is a huge roster move, I don't know if I can say we are better than we were last year. We were good enough to be the best team in Canada, but I don't think we're better than the Florida teams. While I think we are comparable to Boston, they continue to out do the Leafs every year so I probably give them the edge as well.
I expect a second round exit, but we'll see what happens.

We've already won 0.4 expected cups so anything else would be gravy. 
Apart from Jason Spezza and Muzzin...And potentially liljegren....
Its a collection of no interest....
I like Tavares, never loved him, signing him was too fast into the rebuild.
Rebuilding should be done with style, taste and style..
We blew the rebuild badly... Hey getting Tavares was like getting my two buddies Corson and Tucker for no picks no trades etc...
But we are a cap world, we have to be smart...
So as appealing as he was...
He should not have been pursued..
Signing hin was premature...
Sure its screwed.... But with such a low cap that the NHL has, we should not have signed hin, and left a guy like Nylander out to dry..
Obviously a potential star like DUBAS,

Pretty much how I feel. It's going to be a really long grind of a season to (hopefully) get a chance to erase a still painful memory and even then anything short of a deep run would be hollow and I see very little chance of that happening. I was really hoping to be more excited and optimistic by now but if anything, I feel even more antipathetic.

The winds of change should finally be on our backs, we are a much better team than one to not even win a round, so i expect that to start this season.

Even a single playoff round win is a failure IMO.
This team was put together to compete for a Cup, anything short is a disappointment.
The Habs were laughed at before last season. They accomplished more than the Leafs have in 54 years.
The goal this year is to try and not live in the utter embarrassment they've been for the past 30 years (I'll give the '93 run some credit). The rest has been pure failure.

Tavares has been the least of our problems. Money aside, he was a UFA who earned that contract. We should be happy he chose to come home and Captain his hometown team.
34/16 demanded the Sun and they both got it.
To be entertained. That's all I want. Play like you give a shit every game, every shift. I can live with failure as long as they leave it all on the ice.

Yikes! If this happens and Dubas still has a job a year from now, I'll be speechless. I will be without speech.
It's OK though. Management will assure us that 2022/23 will be our best version of ourselves. They will put all of the silly worry to rest.

This is what I think, but they'll keep Rielly.
Nylander will be moved to make room for his contract.
Everything else stays status quo and we hear the same bullshit we've heard for years.

And that the exit interviews showed that we can expect a new attitude, they all really took losing to heart and they want to win next season.
