What about inducting teams into the HHoF?

What I mean is the team itself for a very specific season, not inducting every member of that team individually.

What would the criteria be?
SC Champions only?
First overall teams?
A team that set an impressive record (Flyers '80)

More importantly, are any teams even worthy?

I don't really have an interest in seeing this. Fans already know who the big dynasty teams were, and I don't see the need in giving a HOF nod to a team when they already would have won the cup that year - there would be no point to putting a non-cup winner in.

If they did decide to do this, to me, it would only be dynasty teams who won multiple cups over multiple years. But the Hockey Hall of Fame isn't exactly hard to get into, so most of the key players on cup winners are already in anyway.

Not even the 1930 Boston Bruins with their .875 win% can convince ya?

I'm thinking of it also as a visitor to the actual building. Not everyone knows their history

I'm not sure how this wouldn't just be a list of Stanley Cup champions and a tiny handful of other teams.

Does the HHOF not already have a museum that talks about the great teams of the history of the sport? Honest question, I've never been there.

That seems like it would be a big oversight, but I also don't see a reason why you need to "induct" teams.

Just a bad memory 😏

I myself am not invested in the idea. Thought just occured to me and am interested in what others think of the idea (and why or why not).
