Him and the Blackhawks organization have been on-the-record saying he's played his last game as a Blackhawk. Both parties agreed to move on. So there won't be a contract with Chicago.
I figured he'd probably retire, based on his health concerns and whatnot. But I did think there was a chance he'd try for one last Cup somewhere else, or play a year for his hometown Jets.
Then his last game as a Hawk was treated like a retirement send-off. Let me tell you, the vibe from that game screamed retirement. I honestly believe he's done, and will call it a career. There's a million reasons why it just might not be public and official yet. But that's what I think is happening.
