I'm with ya. Not my genre at all, so I had zero attachment to it as an NC thing either. Had never heard of the guy, never heard his music, and it honestly just sounds like background noise to me when they play it. Doesn't cut through the crowd like something with a really clear melody does. Brass Bonanza is a literal fanfare played by a brass section. It punches through.
I really liked the Avicii one we had for a couple years.

I don't understand the fascination for Brass Bonanza. I'm fine with it on Whalers night but I'd be pissed if it became the full time goal song.

I’m the biggest brass bonanza fan on the planet. Even I know it doesn’t work as an every day goal song today.

To me it sounds like public access television music. I understand it's a Whalers thing but I'm not blinded by nostalgia like a lot of sports fans are so it's whatever to me
Again, I'm fine with its usage on Whalers night but yes, it's not an everyday goal song.
I've seen some of our own fans suggesting that they ditch "Raise up" which makes zero sense to me. Petey Pablo is a Raleigh guy, he filmed the music video for that song in Raleigh. He seems to be a fan of the team, at the very least he's been appreciative of his songs usage.
To each their own I guess but don't f*** with the goal song.

They should resolve this conflict by not having a goal song at all. Just a long continuous blast of the goal horn until the next faceoff.

Put me in the I hate Raise Up camp. I think it's a terrible goal song.

Hearing the Canes were using Petey Pablo as a goal song— along with the Surges— was unironically a huge part of why I started following them closely.

HISTORICALLY I HAVE FOLLOWED MOST CZECHS. NOW THAT I AM BUSIER THAN EVER WITH COMMUTE, WORK AND PERSONAL STUFF I FOLLOW HOCKEY LESS IN GENERAL.
BUT YEAH I CHECK ON HIM SPECIFICALLY.
I AM CANES FAN BECAUSE OF THIS PLACE NOW TRUTH BE TOLD.
I have tried to be me before f26, but here it’s where it clicked.
I’d use Brass Bonanza as a victory song. Make it special. Imagine it blasting after an OT goal in the playoffs.
Makes more sense than the compromise before Rise Up, when the goal song was every sound in one clip.

This is what immediately occurred to me, as well. It's 2:39...does it seem like that would fit in between the game ending and the storm surge? I'd love to hear the BB for every home win.
Actually, last night I was kinda pissed that I could never really hear it after any Canes goal on the FD broadcast. It would've been nice if MM&TT woulda just STFU and let us enjoy it maybe one time.

When there was a voting campaign for the goal song a few years back, section 328 had a fan push to write in Tears from Heaven as the goal song.
