I actually am this year for the first time! Have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I didn't when I started fantasy football either. Did you autodraft your first year?

Always do a live draft.
It is the best...
And fastest...
Way to learn.

I also feel that if one does not do a live draft...
Then one really misses out on a large part of the fun...
Especially in a public league...
As trades rarely happen now.
In fact...
For the last two years...
I have not made a single trade...
In a public league...
Rather it is hockey...
Or football.

No I just did some mock drafts before hand and whenever I saw a payer I knew nothing about I'd just look him up. Whenever you have some free time leading up to your draft just got to whatever site your using yahoo or espn and do a mock. Go for bats first. I usually go five rounds or so with hitters then go after pitchers. Target these guys middle to late in the draft Odor, Conforto, Matz, Pederson, Buxton. There's a lot of good outfields late so maybe get a premier one early than you can focus on other positions.
