Were They Really Upsets?

To me, any losses between the top 5 teams is not really a big upset(Can, US, Rus, Swe, Fin). In 1 game, anything can happen between these guys and the talent level difference is small from year to year.

It's when one of those guys lose to the lower guys that I consider an upset with losses to Cze and Slo as "lesser" upsets depending on the year.

That top 5 should not lose to any other nation but huge upsets do happen as we saw this year.

i agree but there are definitely sub tiers in that top 5 I think
