So Its surreal seeing that breakaway unfold. Any other goalie you'd hope he comes out and races out to that puck. But its Skinner so you know "race" isn't even possible so you think he should stay in net. He confounds any option of a save by coming 10feet out and freezing. He's not even in his crease. Easy goal. Just tuck it by him and stuff the empty net. NHL moving too fast for Skinner.

I don't think most goalies would win that race to the puck but you are right, he didn't move on the shot.

The other Skinner isn't looking too great either.

I watched after the game And I think only Ekholm gave Skinner a tap on the pads.

If that is the case, that tells me that the team has quit on Stu and that it's a matter of time before he's out the door.

Bouchard meatriders please go cheer for another team, the guy is horrendous, can’t hit the net from 20 feet. Shits the bed every game. And with him out there with Skinner in net? Forget about it.

Bouchard is having a very rough stretch right now for sure. But we saw how good he was for most of last year and in the playoffs. Thats why people mostly get the pass.

Bouch could have at least pretended to skate back after the abysmal turnover. Skinner could have at least attempted to move laterally with some effort.

McDavid looked pissed for one. I don’t blame him, Skinner refuses to be a pro and work on his deficiencies while being an arrogant asshole. It’s probably no coincidence I have heard Schwartz is the same way.

I didn’t say he was great, I’m saying they gave up freebie goals that AHL teams wouldn’t give up. They played a pitiful game until they were losing.

He squares himself up to Bouchard instead of the shooter.

He does that alot. Like that islanders goal. He is facing the shooter MORE after he passes it for a one timer then struggles to move the other way

Once again all you have to do is the "swap goalies" test in each game... and the Oilers come out with the easy win more often than not.

All teams make screw ups defensively but Oilers seem to ALWAYS pay the price every single time for theirs.

Why did he stop skating on the 3rd goal?

Second goal was a dumb pass but they happen on occasion. It’s whatever. I can often give guys a pass for plays when they are TRYING to do something…however…
3rd goal you can’t defend him in the slightest and Skinner if he played with any actual skill in his position could have made a save there.

Been noticing this too. Hardly any of the players are even going back to Skinner. They know what they got in there. A liability. The Oilers have played last 4 games shot suppression hockey and the 3 of them with Stew where he's faced hardly anything has been 10GA. Ridiculous.
