I really want to keep receipts of all the habs "fans" commenting on this on twitter and see how they feel in 2 years after the shine on their new toy wears off.
No way it takes that long.I really want to keep receipts of all the habs "fans" commenting on this on twitter and see how they feel in 2 years after the shine on their new toy wears off.
You knew what I meant. No implication like that was made. But I'll reply to your other comment by admitting, if biological men could have babies, we'd be extinct. No way in hell I'm doing that twice!Maybe try giving birth to a couple kids and have your sexual organ bleed for a week once a month and then check you if you still feel having a vagina implies softness.
As a man I'm telling you if we had periods we'd be spending every last one of them on a sick leave staring at our dicks in worry
Yeah, Severson is definitely something we need to talk about. On a side note here since its being overshadowed, where are we headed with the Defense when a guy making 6 million plus cap hit (and larger actual dollars) and a NTC was made a healthy scratch when we still played 7 defensemen?
Obviously it's just 1 game right now but it's a sign he may not work out the way we want him too. Are we stuck if he's not going to be a long term fit in the DW regime? I like the idea of keeping Provorov to play with Mateychuk which makes Severson probably 3rd pairing at best.
If he were to be bought out he'd count against the cap longer than Bobby Bonilla gets paid by the Mets so that ain't happening. I guess you could Trouba him if you really wanted to move him somewhere.
I'm really trying to find a way to keep Provorov on this team feasibly.
Asked if the Blue Jackets were motivated by it, Werenski didn’t flinch.
“Yeah, 100 percent,” Werenski said. “What’s he thinking saying all that? It’s just incredible. I’ve got no more time for that. I don’t want to talk about Patty anymore. I hope he’s all right. I just thought that was pretty ridiculous, to be honest.”
The front office didn’t appreciate it, either.
The Blue Jackets had a “welcome back” video ready to play for Laine during a TV timeout in the first period, but by afternoon they’d decided against showing it. The last time that happened was when Ryan Johansen returned to Columbus after being traded to the Nashville Predators midway through the 2015-16 season.
Blue Jackets coach Dean Evason, who was hired this past summer, said he could tell his players were riled up by the time they returned to the rink before the game.
“I didn’t even know that went down (Laine’s comments),” he said. “I don’t hear it, but I definitely heard players talking about it, and I thought our guys handled it appropriately. They probably weren’t happy about it and rightfully so, but they did it the right way.
“I was happy and proud of our guys for how they conducted themselves. And the fans.”
One of the biggest cheers of the night came in the third period when the scoreboard zoomed on a fan with the words “Where is Laine?” typed on her cellphone. Montreal coach Martin St. Louis said after the game that he didn’t have an update on Laine’s status.
Jack Johnson has a small salary, he was taken more as an experienced veteran, btw he is often HS. Severson is a completely different story. And since he made mistakes over and over, he was a HS.Yeah, Severson is definitely something we need to talk about.
For one, I don't think he was worthy of being benched. He certainly makes head scratching plays sometimes, and I do think his play has lagged some recently. But healthy scratched? I think that was a bit drastic. Jack Johnson makes just as many mistakes in far less minutes.
Severson needs to be better but pulling the plug on a scratch was a bit drastic IMO. I thought he was maybe hurt, but Evason definitely made sure to note it was a healthy scratch

How about people are realistic about Fabbro for once?On a side note here since its being overshadowed, where are we headed with the Defense when a guy making 6 million plus cap hit (and larger actual dollars) and a NTC was made a healthy scratch when we still played 7 defensemen?

I mean, what’s there to say….however, since essentially everyone is now on the same page, let’s say it together…. f*** PATRIK LAINE!!#BusWasRight
@thebus88
Can’t wait for all the Laine defenders to find a way to spin this one. Better off without Laine. Love THIS TEAM. Go Jackets!
Eh nvm, overkill.
And what makes a cabbage soup a Christmas one?Wait. What's a Christmas Salad?

That's how we make the cabbage soup, which is prepared for Christmas. It is usually made of onions fried in lard, cabbage, mushrooms, pork and smoked meat and sausage. Salt and dried red pepper, of course. But I don't put smoked meat in it, for example, because we don't like it and I use less pork. And what makes a cabbage soup a Christmas one?
sucking 5v5 is par for the course. He never could play a full ice game like they tried to get him to do. And he could never stay healthy. The most he ever played here was 56 games in a season. He sucks 5vs5.
He plays like he's 36yrs old, not 26yrs old, he's quite slow overall, except he has a great shot.
Is this what you saw when he was with CJB?

Better quality of the play
Based off his performance in Philly, he most definitely deserved a wake up call. Almost every goal Philly scored was due to some soft play Severson made in the defensive zone. He's just not a player you can count on to play hard minutes against the other team and shut them down.Yeah, Severson is definitely something we need to talk about.

hard to blame him 100% for the Philly meltdown because Werenki was in obvious pain and not playing to his normal abilities after going into the boards. Bad D is bad D but they ended up being a pretty poor pairing at that point.Based off his performance in Philly, he most definitely deserved a wake up call. That said, I'll agree he's still much better than JJ and Harris. The issue is how he's utilized. He needs to be on the third pairing and PP. That's usage he could be effective in. When he's being played like a defensively responsible top 4 dman, issues arise. He needs someone to cover for him aka a strong shutdown dman (which we don't really have).
Good on Evason for demanding more, hopefully he has realized that Severson isn't trustworthy in the defensive zone and puts him on the 3rd pair.
