Observer notes that with all three members of the SHIELD now faces that they may do some kind of SHIELD reunion spot at one of the next reunion PPVs.
Emma is reportedly really close to returning.
he feels fine, a bunch of doctors say he's fine. not all concussions are the same it's possible his brain has recovered and he's ok
Can they even do a Shield reunion down the road with the brand split? Theres no other factions worth going against a reunited mega face Sheild. The Club (besides AJ) look like complete losers, haven’t been able to get over New Day and are a joke right now. Wyatts/Sheild II could be good but Wyatts being buried as per usual.
It's too expensive to run televised shows there.
That's why Barclays gets so many shows.
Renovations to the building also supposedly made it logistically less-possible
It's not the rent that's the issue, it's all the extra costs that come with running TV there. You have to deal with all the expensive union fees and stuff that eat into your profits when you do TV or a PPV (the Network Special happened as it's not really TV so didn't have the extra costs). So house shows, while expensive, are not running at a loss.I was under the impression they just book the house shows at MSG and the tv shows at Barclays because they figure all things even the house shows would draw better at the Garden than Barclays. MSG in itself is extremely expensive to book which is why I'm surprised they even bother with the house shows.
How so? Only thing I could think of is maybe the bridges being an issue.
Still dying for this to happen. One guy I've wanted to see in WWE for a long time.- Adam Cole's contract: "Since the subject of Adam Cole’s contract has been asked about, since it’s no secret WWE wants him and was at one point directly saying they’d fast-track him to the NXT title, but he’s now the ROH champion, this is the situation. He’s under contract through 12/31, but because he missed four months due to his injuries, ROH is claiming the contract continues through the end of April"
PW Insider says there are talks for an all women tournament similar to the CWC. If it happens it may happen in the first quarter of 2017.
Big Dave mentioned that Backlash only drew 7000 fans, despite a lot of papering, and there were reports of tickets being given away for free at various places around town. Also the first time in recent history a WWE PPV didn't crack the top 20 of searches on the day of.
There are talks to have a Takeover at MSG.
Richmond also has a really small arena
Three weeks of a build, no Cena, not much promotion behind it, and it being Richmond will certainly do that. It should improve for No Mercy though. They have the benefit of a little more of a build, Cena working the show, and the fact that they're jumping into a new arena so some people will be going just to get a glimpse of the new Golden 1 Center. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out or papered a sellout but it definitely should do better than 7k.
I think I read somewhere that No Mercy is sold out or close to it.
Brand new arena (believe it is the second event ever in that space) and as of right now the only PPV scheduled for that area so the demand is better.
Big Dave framed it that they were very disappointed in only 7K. Also not all 7K paid either. There were a lot of comps.
For now is doesn't appear to be a trend though, just an outlier.
I think it holds like 13k or 13.5k for wrestling so yeah it's pretty small but 7k is still a product of not a whole lot of hype and a lacking card in terms of drawing beyond the main event.
it was only like 11 and change for hockey, so I don't think it's even close to 13.
