Whenever new news is posted in this thread (as long as it isn't legitimate spoilers, which belong in the spoiler thread) I will update the OP. New thread will be up every Monday from here on out for the week.

This also doesn't just have to be WWE news. It can be anything in the world of wrestling. Spoilers for other promotions need [SPOIL] tags, WWE/NXT spoilers need to go in the spoiler thread.

10/3

- Alberto Del Rio no-showed an AA event.

- It was another brutal night for Smackdown's live event in Ontario, California, as someone who attended the show said maybe 50 people were in the second level in total and the venue was only 40% filled.

I wonder how much the company is concerned with these house show numbers, or do they avoid panic mode until TV and PPV attendance starts to dip?

Backlash had some attendance issues, but CoC did well I think. No Mercy is also sold out.

theres too much product, and not enough break out stars because of how people are presented. i think this stems from how bad raw is personally, it's a bad show most weeks, so why are people going to pay to watch it?

here are the bits from the last Observer regarding crowd numbers

The 9/25 show at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis didn’t have nearly the interest of the regular PPVs, although based on search numbers, was ahead of the first Smackdown show. They only drew 7,500 fans and for the second straight WWE PPV show there were reports of papering around town the final week of the show.

Even though WWE shows have not been drawing strongly of late, the No Mercy show may do better than expected because it’ll only be the third event in the Golden 1 Center, the new arena in Sacramento. The arena opens on 10/4 and 10/5 with two nights of Paul McCartney. Not only that, but on the secondary market, you could see McCartney in the debut of the new arena for less money than it cost to see Nakamura’s NXT debut

Notes from the 9/26 Raw tapings in Cincinnati. Attendance wasn’t good by Raw standards once again, being at just under 7,000 paid. It’s been down everywhere ever since Cena stopped being advertised on the shows and fans knew it was split branded show

Notes from the 9/27 Smackdown tapings in Cleveland. They drew 6,400 fans, but it was a hot crowd and a very good show.

Some actuals on business. The 8/29 Raw in Houston drew 8,936 paying $394,000. The 8/28 house show in Leon, Mexico drew 3,577 paying $71,380. The 8/27 house show in Puebla, Mexico drew 4,185 paying $107,821. The 8/23 Smackdown tapings in Uncasville, CT, drew a sellout 5,977 paying $282,911. The 9/7 house show in London at the O2 Arena drew 13,750 and $993,070. An 8/7 house show in Fresno drew 4,817 paying $189,920

The Raw tour opened on 9/23 in Moline, IL, before 4,700 fans. 9/24 in Chicago, which included the Lesnar vs. Orton match, drew 9,500. That’s one of the best domestic house show attendances in a long time. Lesnar was added when the advance out of the blocks wasn’t good and he ended up a major difference maker. In fact, the Chicago house show outdrew both the PPV and Raw this week. But we were told that for some reason, there was no Lesnar merchandise available in Chicago

The Smackdown crew opened on 9/24 in Hershey, PA before 4,000 fans. 9/25 in State College, PA also drew 3,500 fans. 9/26 in Wheeling, WV, drew 2,500

I feel like we're watching the death of Pro Wrestling as mainstream entertainment.

Lol Ryback on snapchat.

"All natural kids. You can be as big as the big guy. All you have to do is workout 4 hours a day, sleep 6-8 hours a night and eat healthy religiously 6-10 times a day"

No thx

It always amazes me how guys eat so much to stay as big as they are. There's no way I could ever do it; I just don't like eating or cooking enough to do it that much.

When I used to consume 3000-3500 calories a day when I was younger and just starting out it made me hate food.

Props to the guys who have the dedication to stick to such a routine and consume so many calories, but I'd end up hating food really fast if it became a chore to eat it like that. And this is coming from someone like me. Ryback probably consumes over 5000 calories.

The big guy probably shell shocks a live turkey and eats it right there afterwards.

With his botching history that's how he breaks it's neck.

Strowman said he eats like 13k per day. That's like five times what a normal guy should eat. Like is there even any time to do anything else? Even worse when he's travelling all the time.

That's just insane. Jesus. 3000 and I'm like a kid who refuses to eat his veggies.

He is so big that if he doesn't eat that much he'll start shrinking, jay cutler is a pro bodybuilder and he will lose almost 10 pounds over night when he's sleeping. these guys bodies just need a ton of calories to operate or they'll lose all their gains fast

That's disgusting to do that to your body. How does a body take that much stress and load without exploding? I don't find that healthy or appealing at all. I respect the work it takes though.

You burn the calories off though. Michael Phelps was eating like 2700 calories just for breakfast, but then he'd jump in the pool and swim 30 miles.
