I haven’t paid much attention to the team this yearI have not been this excited since 2022. Finally the loser is gone and the room is likely pumped.
If they feel anything like I do, they’re stoked. I haven’t paid as much attention this year. I had to take a step back, having georgiev in this team made me super angry unreasonably so

You just know Crosby is gonna have a 4pt night tomorrow. F*** that guy

When we beat them 5-4 in OT last year after coming back from 0-4 down, he was the best player on the ice by an absolute mile.

1 goal, 3 assists, in on every goal and a takeaway machine all game. I was in attendance at Ball and couldn’t take my eyes off him away from the play.

Hockey IQ is completely off the charts.

How long until Colton is back on line one and playing bumper on powerplay one? He was killing it in that spot to start the season.
I hope they're just letting him settle in before making that adjustment, but the powerplay absolutely should be Nate, Nuke, Rants, Makar, Colton, as much as I love Lehky.

Then you roll:
Colton - MacK - Rants
Lehky - Mitts - Nuke

If Drouin ever returns, you drop Lehky to the 3rd with spot duty in the top 6, and instead go:
Colton - MacK - Drouin
Nuke - Mitts - Rantanen

Has Bednar spoken to trainers about Blackwood? Wonder if he’s good to go for tomorrow’s game

Miner was sent back down and it was suggested Blackwood would only miss a day or two, so he's probably good to go.

I'm expecting Wedgewood again tomorrow and Blackwood to get his debut on Saturday night against Nashville.

Or maybe Blackwood tomorrow, Wedgewood against his old team Preds? Either way I can’t wait to see how Blackwood does for us

It looks like Steinburg last played for the Eagles on November 1st. Did I miss some injury news?

Anyways, I was just going to inquire why we don't bring him up while we've got some cap space to serve his suspension and then move him back down if we don't want to reinsert him right now. But that way he would be immediately available should we need him. Or is Bednar truly done with him because he's physical.

Bednar doesn't like players who seek out physicality. He wants checking of pucks and puck retrieval.

Steinburg wants to kill people.

This is the NHL. You should be able to skate and chew bubble gum at the same time.

Bednar has a weakness when it comes to players who played like he did. He absolutely hates and despised them all. Dude needs to practice some self love.

I wonder if the Avs may have just told Blackwood, just enjoy your birthday, and don't worry about flying from SJ to Pitt, then back to Col. Not worth all that mileage while also trying to pack up your essential belongings for moving, etc. Maybe the 'under the weather' was just given as an easy no questions explanation from the Avs camp, rather than from Blackwood actually feeling like he couldn't play.

Very possible, and that stuff goes a long way to establishing a good relationship. He didn't need to feel rushed getting to Pittsburgh the next day and could take the extra two days to pack and get the family to Denver.,
