We have practice confirmed for tomorrow with CMac talking to the media after.

I’m excited to see what the lines are and to hopefully hear from CMac that Landy is coming off LTIR on Friday and being included in our playoff roster.

Likely:

Tuesday - Optional practice
Wednesday - Full practice
Thursday - Off
Friday - Full practice
Saturday - Gameday skate IF our game is at night

Why does everyone mention the stars depth like the Avs don’t have any?
Its because history. They just remember Avs 2 last playoffs and decide based on that and not the team what is iced. Same goes with Dallas who had extremely good depth last year, but couldnt overcome MacDrai.

I don't think Wood sees a single playoff game unless a couple of forwards are hurt at once.

IMO there are 13 clearly ahead of him.
I think there's a chance he might be in Game #1. So many people are down on Wood because of the contract but when he's on his game, he's a forechecking machine and a pain to play against. Ross Colton as well. The playoffs are the reason these guys were brought in not the regular season as much.

This would be my lineup on Saturday :

Drouin-MacKinnon-Nichuskin
Lehkonen-Nelson-Necas
Colton-Coyle-Wood
Kiviranta-Drury-O'Connor

I'd be saving Landeskog for Game #3 or #4 at home. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable throwing him in there in a Game #1 atmosphere on the road. If something were to happen and he gets injured (by accident or otherwise) it would be just such a huge emotional letdown for the entire team without any of the games being even decided yet.

I feel like you don't wait with Landeskog. It is the soft safe plan and you don't win the playoffs with soft safe plans. Sure him being in the line up game #3 will have the crowd rocking but him being in the lineup should have the team rocking. It is his first game back in 3 years the team is going to want to destroy everything in their path to get him a win.

You dress the best possible lineup. Landeskog is already there on gamedays, and in the locker room. You don't bring him to the bench just to be a mascot. If Bednar thinks Landeskog is a better fit for the lineup than Kiviranta, Kelly or whoever, you play him. Simple as that.

You can say when he's on his game but he hasn't been on his game all season. Parker Kelly has been WAY better than Wood, it isn't close. Kelly also kills penalties, something Wood struggles with if he's not going for a breakaway because he doesn't have the brain to play good defensive hockey in our zone.

There is zero chance Bednar puts Miles Wood in ahead of either Parker Kelly or Joel Kiviranta.

honestly Kelly and Kivi have been playing great in their roles where I've soured on Colton in favour of Landy.

you could go:

drouin - mack - necas
lekh- nelson - nuke
landy - coyle - loc
kelly - drury - kivi

extras: colton, wood, vesey

if kivi or kelly look off after 1-2 games then you put in colton

kivi's been way more consistent than colton for offense so i cant put colton above him

Looks like Bedsy agrees that Landy will come in when someone drops out.
