That's just not a good 3rd line imo. LOC can definitely hang on a 3rd line and Drury is awesome defensively... But there's no play driving on that line, at least at a 3rd line level. That line will consistently be a low event line that doesn't give up many chances, but is never really a threat to score. Which has been the Avs MO in the bottom 6 from 2022 to now.

Just start with Drury and LOC at least. That feels like the natural 3rd line pairing. Maybe one day they get Landeskog or Lehhky, but see if you can get that chemistry going.

I meant the problem is no matter what combo you do the 3rd line isn't going to be good enough. I know everyone loves Lehky in the top 6, but if you could get a top 6 winger and put Lehky on the 3rd line you're going to have some major matchup problems with him there. That won't happen, but I think that'd be a monumental help in improving the depth on this team.

It would be either him or Landeskog there eventually, hopefully.

I like the idea of trying Colton there because of his shot, and having two intelligent linemates.

Wood and Colton on one line is too much stupid. Drury is very obviously carrying that line.
 
It's really too bad that we screwed up with RosCo. I Guite why they obtained him, but we Maltsev lost our way by signing him to a contract to be our 3C. He's just not really fitting in anywhere and carving out a niche for himself. Damn...this sounds familiar.

I could've sworn we Jost had a player like this. In fact, this isn't a Newhook... the Avs suck at obtaining Mittelstadt six Cs. They've been cursed since they let Stasny walk and completely Shantz on ROR and traded him for a Hahl of shit. It's a bit Cliche, but I can Compher that hitching their wagon to Matt f***ing Duchene was not the Hinote of Eric Lacroix's tenure. I Dano bout y'all, but my outlook on this season has become a bit Grimaldi. If you were to tell me our chances of making the 2nd round is Talbot 25%, I'd only take the Olver, if the Avs were entering the playoffs on a hot Street.
