Unfortunately I had to vote for the US because of TrashBin being the starter.

I want my country and Avs players to win but if they do it might mean TrashBin will be selected again as Team Canada's starter for the Olympics. I am very conflicted about that.

Thursday will be the conclusion of the Four Nations tournament and we return to NHL action Saturday with one Avs game against Nashville in the Music City. Then we face St. Louis on the last day of the week, Sunday.

We literally play the Blues on Sunday in a B2B after the Preds on Saturday.

Sat @ NSH - 4 PM MST
Sun @ STL - 4 PM MST

You had one f***ing job, man…

See, this whole thing wouldn’t be a problem if the week started on Saturday

The real question is did we get anyone back from injury, and who do we lose to injury from the tournament or a drunk golf cart accident?

The hope and communication from the team was for Nichushkin, Manson, and Wedgewood to be ready after this break.

We will only know when the first practice occurs and if they’re participating in full team drills.

We should, theoretically, be completely healthy minus the LTIR dudes(Landy and dead Poolman).

Theoretically lol

I think our medical trainers are looking at astrology charts and Tarot cards to make future predictions on health.

You are correct we probably won't know sheit until Saturday.

Yep.

Avs will have a fully healthy lineup (not including Landeskog, because I don’t think he’s coming back to the NHL) for the first time all season. They’ll play 6 games before the trade deadline. Not the toughest 6 game schedule either. We shall see.

Seemed like this season was taking an absolute eternity to get anywhere before the 4 Nations Tourny arrived. It just hasn't been a particularly enjoyable season of hockey from the Avs to watch with all the injuries, losing and specious goaltending.

But then I read your post and it just hit me how absoltely close we are to the deadline now and I'm like, hell that came up fast. First time this season that I'm actually beginning to worry that CMac won't be able to give the Avs a shot this season. Time's running out and we need a 2C and either a 4 or 5 Dman. I would prefer a 4RD that pushes Manson down, but if we can't get that we need a much better partner for Malinski at least.

Nuke back and a hopefully healthier Drouin will do wonders for this team. Just need to replace Mitts and get an upgrade or 2 on defense.

I think a solid defensive vet next to Malinski would be perfect. With Sam’s skill set being more puck moving it’s not ideal to have CDH, Kylington, Middleton next to him.

Not sure I agree with that. I mean, it's always nice for a veteran defenseman to be alongside Malinski who doesn't SUCK, but I'm not so sure he needs to be stay-at-home. In fact, I'd argue Malinski's best games have been alongside the Other Sam. Of course, that pairing has also had some horrendous games.

So long as they can find a guy who doesn't become an automatic turnover machine below the hashmarks like Middleton, and doesn't back into his own goalie on rushes like de Haan, then I really can't complain.
