Looking ahead to the last half of the season, our schedule is actually looking really weak as far as quality of opponents goes. Of the last 40 games, 17 of them are against the bottom 10 teams in the standings. LA and SJ, three times each. Ottawa, NYR, and Detroit twice each. Plus three more games against the struggling Predators who sit just outside the bottom 10. That's some quality opportunities to pick up easy standings points on the home stretch.

Finally caught up on Avs games after life and the WJC got in the way.

NJ - The Mikko show...love a pissed off MacKinnon on the ice.

NYI - Man do the Isles block a lot of shots and play 1999 Devils style boring hockey…of course Varly shuts out the Avs.

NYR - Tired legs…stopped playing after 2-0…no traffic in front of net…big lost face-offs…bad hit…great fight by Naz…Landy sleepwalking…Mikko and Bura falling and turning over pucks all night…Panarin would have been such a great fit with the Avs.
