Some of us are old enough to remember that "Sabers" used to be autocorrected by the filter because the head admin was a Buffalo fan. Then Star Wars got rebooted and they had to take it off because people were talking about Lightsabers and it kept getting corrected to LightSabres.
Spell it "Sabers" until the end of time. And don't indulge the French either while you're at it.

The way Bednar phrased it, I think saved him from an actual fine. Because he did say some to the affect of "I don't blame these refs, I blame the inconsistency of the league".

Yeah, I'm not sure we were ever ahead of Dallas in points per game though. Fan of points per game because it at least attempts to account for games in hand.Didnt take much to send us back to a wildcard spot

Exactly, some got caught looking only at pts. We never were ahead of DAL on pts%.
Until proven otherwise this is just a oft injured wild card team.

I actually like Moneypucks Points Above Point Per Game Pace graph and check it out along with the standings. Yeah we've never been above the Stars really but clearly above Utah and St.Louis.
I do believe though that at least the #2 spot can be ours when the regular season is done. I bet the Wild will come down and Dallas is not that far away. In-division games against these very teams will of course be vital.

I think Dallas is our main opponent from our own division. Not too concerned about the others.
