Our goalies have a combined .872 sv% this year.

That is honestly one of the craziest stats ever. The fact we're above .500 with those goalies is simply an unbelievable testament to how good the rest of the team is.
Per Naturalstattrick if you do all situations our SV% is an 85.46... 1.94% worse than 31st and our HDSV% is 3% worse than 31%.

All while were 10th best in HDCF% and 3rd best in SCF%. Absolute insanity.

That’s where the problem is. CMac probably still believes Avs have a good enough team to win with cheap goaltending tendem like Georgiev and Annunen and he’s hesitant to spend more money on a goalie, otherwise he would have traded for one already. This team is throwing away points because of bad goaltending on most of the losses they’ve had this season so far

I'd like to know the combined SV% of the goalies from the opposite teams when the Avs play them. It's probably much lower than we expect.

I’ve been told it’s spelled “Pokecheck”

Well, since you asked:

Adin Hill .875 L
Tarasov .867 L
Sorokin .941 L
Korpisalo .880 L
Dostal .918 W
Vanecek .857 W
Vejmelka .808 W
Forsberg .862 W
Mrazek .923 L
Vasilevskiy .943 L
Saros .935 L
Grubauer .839 W
Hellebuyck 1.000 L
Martin .821 W
Saros .906 W
Kuemper .900/Rittich .800 W
Lindgren .895 L
Kolosov .897 W
Thompson .927 W
Bobrovsky .750 W
Vasilevskiy .920 L

You do the math as far as finding the combined average there, I imagine it wouldn't be good.

.886 SV% combined

That really puts things in perspective isn't it?

Of 75 goaltenders in the NHL who have played at least 3 games, we have the 2nd and 12th worst in terms of GSAx.

I present to you the worst goaltending tandem in the National Hockey League.

Reminder; we allow the third least amount of shots against in the league. We defy logic and still let everything in.
