See, what happened is that I misinterpreted the question...I thought it meant how many points would the Avs drop this week
Okay, it wasn't that.Gonna win 3-2 after a bad game.
Has my vote
Well that's too bad. I don't think there is another team out there, even a tanking team, that would've given him as much rope as the Avs have. The team and the organization have held their end of the bargain, now it's time to start trying something else.An entire offseason and this is how Georgiev shows up. The man is totally cooked. Adding Kappo K isn't going to help his confidence at all when we saw last year he was starting to lose the starter spot to rookie Annunen. This is a ugly situation for Georgiev, makes you think if he even wants to be an NHL goalie anymore with his awful play. Campbell v2.
Yeah i was f***ing right. f***ing Georgiev!
Not going to get our new goalie until after Monday at the earliest.
Quit bragging
I’ve played many sports in my life. I can tell you without hesitation, besides hockey goalie, and maybe a pitcher or QB, you can physically prepare as much as you want. But there are no other positions where the mental game is as big a factor. An entire offseason and this is how Georgiev shows up. The man is totally cooked. Really nicely put. I've got some empathy for what Georgiev is going through. But...I have no idea what is going on inside his head. He looks expressionless now after a goal and I'm not sure how to take that. Is he so broken he just flat doesn't care? Is he in his own head so far that he expects it and simply accepts it now? Where's the pushback? Where's the anger at getting beat? I mean...where's the f***ing pride?I’ve played many sports in my life. Part of me feels what George has going on. He’s got no confidence, feels like every instinct and decision is always wrong. Even when he chooses right, there’s an unlucky bounce, etc. And it doesn’t matter what you do, you can’t seem to fix it.
On the other hand, he’s a professional, and he’s getting paid millions. So while I understand what he’s going through, I don’t have tons of empathy for him.
