The Eagles play 9 games before the Avs play their next game.

We should be sending down any two-way eligible players.

Malinski and Middleton.

They don’t need to play every game, but it wouldn’t hurt to help out the Eagles and also keep these guys in game shape.

Maybe Malinski doesn’t need to go down, but Middleton could certainly use more games and minutes.

Wouldn't Malinski need to go through waivers if they send him down?

Malinski is on a two-way contract and would not need to clear waivers.

That’s my understanding based on what I have read, regardless of how many games he has played.

I did a google search and the damn top return was from our local resident GM....

He's waivers exempt for one more season so it'll be easy to send him down and have him as one of the top call-up options.

Malinski and Middleton are both waiver eligible and could technically be claimed.

Yes both players are waiver eligible. It all boils down to the contract.

Middleton isn't on his entry-level deal, and is thus waivers eligible. Malinski is on his entry-level deal, but because he made his NHL debut at a relatively old age (25), he only got one year of being waivers exempt (last season, his rookie year).

The two-way thing just has to do with how much they get paid in the NHL vs AHL.

Whoaaaahhh, out standing ! and deserved.
I know the Avs system will make some goalies look much better than others.

But I honestly believe Blackwood's doing the majority of the work in making himself look good lately.

What I love about him, is that he appears to becoming a huge, loveable, security blanket for our team. He allows them to go out and do their thing and calmly cleans up any messes caused in the process.

Also...his personality is just about as great as you could hope for. He's upbeat, positive, and lauds his team even when they've made things more difficult than they should be.

f***ing p***yes not even drinking after failed shots.

These games are only fun when drinking. I used to drink for missed shots as the rules stated, but would also drink for shots made as a celebration. There was absolutely no way for me to lose at beer pong.
